I only saw one of those images you showed, or was pressing Ctl too much to show me anything? That's how I see it lately. Each update, 1 minute maximum of gameplay is dedicated to each update, it's so mediocre...

You're on a different route; that's why you're not seeing certain scenes. If you make one "wrong" decision whenever you have choices pop up, you'll be locked out of future content on that route- chances are high that's forever.
It's basically a guessing game unless you have a walkthrough at hand. You may have made a choice 5 years ago that is impacting every scene you get or don't get, which is a big problem with this game IMO. You need several saves to see all the content to begin with, and even then you have to make choices with pinpoint precision in order for you to not get locked out of anything on a specific route. It's dumb. Choices in this game aren't giving players freedom of what they want or don't want to do for the most part, but are merely a ways to put you on a certain train track going one direction and one direction only with constant crossroads, either hitting a complete dead-end or the "right" way without you even knowing which is which.
My suggestion? Playing through the gallery instead of using your own saves if you want to see new content, otherwise- as you've mentioned, updates might end up being 1 minute in length for you because the routes you've been put on have no new content added to them.

Yep, there are so many branches and many of them determined based on a click made years ago. And now we're at partial(pt1, pt2 etc) event releases now. Not even a full event per update!
There isn't any logical reason to support or download more than one update a year. Unless you want to unpack the images and read the code to figure out the variables needed to see the new content.

If you never heard of AWAM you play from the start until where we are you think "wow this game has serious potential, can't wait for what happens next".
When you've been here for a couple of years, it feels different more like "This motherfucker gonna tease us until the end of time".
Story progression is even slower than the launch schedule, the story takes a loooooong time to make meaningful progress.

Nothing of significance. Something to advance an already slow moving story but certainly nothing so dramtic, ether visually or literally, as anticipated.
