Why would I ever buy the most expensive stuff then? I know about stuff being worn out. People buy expensive clothes in real life due to it being higher quality, at a certain point it stops being about quality and then about branding. Basically to show off. If the most expensive clothes neither gain attribute bonus nor are more sturdy than some random jeans founds at a market for 1/10th the price, you will always go with the marketplace jeans. There are no reasons not to.
You also didn't answer regarding the gif to webm conversion.

People buy more expensive things because they THINK they get higher quality. It not necessarily IS of higher quality.
For the brand thing it is similar.
Some people don't know a brand while they can actually despise other brands.
For example having a date with a beautiful girl my perception of her instantly drops when she has a Luis Vuitton purse.

Another thing you might keep in mind is that clothes are tailored differently.
Two dresses of roughly the same style can be vastly different. For instance the fabric of one dress can be slightly more transparent than the other or the cut on the leg is ending slightly higher.
It can very well be the look of one fabric is superior to the look of a more expensive fabric for some people.

Plus as any woman in Real Life can tell you a dress can have a different visual effect on two roughly similar women. While a dress looks fabulous on the first one the same dress looks ... less than ideal on the other one.
May be because of the slightly different hair color. Or that the tits of one woman are slightly bigger. Or because one woman has stronger i.e. thicker calves ...

Some games implement clothes attractiveness as a simple progression with few dresses.
Some games make dresses have all the same values.
Some games disregard clothes attractiveness at all.
Attractiveness is not a stat that is based purely on "more is better" value. And this game actually comes close to reality in my eyes.

There is an ingame cheat menu of you clicl the cogs under the icon row top right.
But that is far smaller and does not even include a fifth of what actually can be cheated. There 10000 rubels can be added and the time can be manipulated. That's pretty much it.

By default, clothes bought in a boutique give more points of appeal than those bought at the market. This is more important at the beginning of the game, when the MC does not yet have her own attractiveness (beauty). But later on you are absolutely right. If you put an expensive thing on a pretty girl or leave her naked, it won't change her beauty much. We've made mechanics that constantly calculate attractiveness taking into account many factors. And sometimes it happens that it's branded clothes that can give you the points you need for the right attractiveness. There's a saying - You meet a man by his clothes, and you see him by his mind.

On the second question. Unfortunately the standard QSP player does not support the format of webm, only gif. I prefer the standard player. With modified players QSP many may have problems. Our one good friend converted a visual on sex. Patreon has a link to this archive. We will definitely come back to this issue again. Finding quality images and editing them is time consuming. So we are not able to redo everything quickly. But we are trying very hard.

I didn't know QSP didn't support webm, it's not an engine I have any real knowlege of, I do understand your desire to being hesitant with trying out modified players. That friend of yours though, did he upload a folder on Patreon, is it behind a paywall? All I can find is the public build I've already downloaded and of course older versions.
Also if you are having trouble finding images, I believe this website have links to lots of other sites as it's quite common for creators to look for help here, they have their forum dedicated to game development too. Might be pointing out the obvious, I know sometimes things just take time and it is how it is.

True some people have problems with starting it or making it work but honestly that is more of a problem with the computer than with the program.
If you are hesitant you could upload a .gif version of the game and a .mp4 version of the game. You can convert gif to mp4 with no or next to no quality loss. If I'm not mistaken patreon lists the download quota so you'll see which version is far more sought after.
Hint: It will be the version that is roundabout half the size of the other.

Plus keep in mind that porn gif's nowadays are harder to find than porn mp4's and porn webm's.
