VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Above the Clouds [v0.75] [Mundo Games]

I've tried this 3 times because i forgot how stupid the humor is in this game. The game really doesn't take it self serious. The third time trying this i thought i'll stomach the bad humor to get to the sex scenes and i just couldn't i wanted to pull my hair out that it was so stupid. I wanted to try this because Incest, Harem sounded like a good combination. And that part seemed fine till you Slut your sister out at a club with other men which is a big NO NO for me and other incest lovers. Dialog is iffy 3/5 renders are 3/5 story is 0/5 Over all i just couldn't get past the bad humor and don't get me wrong i like comedy but this is stupid not comedy and if you can get past that then you have to slut your sister out to other men. You can't AVOID.

Do you know Scary Movie? Take it, mix it with various adult games and you will get "Above the Clouds". Good idea or not, I don't know, I found it heavy at first, then the game managed to get me a few smiles. The story/game itself is linear, there are choices, but they are more here to be funny.

Strong points.
+ A big work on animations and model of the characters.
+ Can be really funny. (Make the wrong choices.)

Weak points.
- It's good to be funny, but when it's absolutely all the time, after a while it doesn't become funny at all, on the contrary it can even get annoying and skip dialogues like I did.
- Choices are useless, they are there to serve as comedy, otherwise, their impact is very minimal.

Above the Clouds, can be funny for some and not at all for others, there are qualities, we also feel that the game has a certain energy, but this energy is lost in a too much mix of jokes that serves more to divide than anything else. Shame. 3/5

I understand this may not be everyone's cup of tea, but in my case, Above the Clouds has every single thing I look for in a good game and then a few more extras I didn't even know I wanted.

- The art is amazing. The sets are great, the lighting looks super professional, not a single piece of clothing does weird stuff, specially around the chest, the male characters don't look like out of the box standard models and the females are all absolutely gorgeous (Helen is intoxicatingly beautiful). I want to point out the fact that all characters have consistency in terms of materials and eye shaders. The dev took the time to unify their look instead of going with their original materials and that really elevates the overall quality.

- The writing. Probably your main issue if you feel like you're not enjoying the game, but I happen to be a huge fan of random absurd humour and there's plenty of that here. Besides, I love wholesome relationships between siblings, which is essentially the foundation for the game. I can't get enough of the father (who's alive and a big part of the plot, by the way). He's hilarious. The story itself is pretty good and the way it's told has me constantly wondering what's really going on. In a forum filled with generic plots and (sometimes) lazy writing in order to get to the sex as soon as possible, this game really stands out.

- Apart from all that, the game looks polished and made with love. Besides the sex scenes, which look amazing, all the goofy moments are also animated with great attention to detail in terms of comedic timing. Not many projects take the time to add those details.

For all of those reasons, Above the Clouds is probably my favourite game in this forum. Others may have better sex scenes or innovate on the taboo elements, but they also fall short on other aspects. This, on the other hand, is top tier in almost every way. Congratulations, Mundo Games. You've created something truly special.

I dont know how anyone can rate this whatever you call it 5 stars. I tried going through the unbearable illogical game but every time I wanted to ignore one part but the next scene becomes even more stupid. I dont think the dev has ever read any novels/stories in his life. Even children stories and bed time stories carry more reason than this thing. What is the purpose of the story and what is the purpose of adding useless characters? Only positive thing is the model named hannah (the little 'step' sister). Anyway, this for my own benefit as people in this thread seems to have lost their reasoning qualities.

I've tried this three times largely due to the appealing models and forgetting how bad the incessant "jokes" are. I can't really tell you anything about the story because after five minutes of constant attempts at humor the game becomes too irritating to read. They never say anything worth reading really unless you like really stupid humor.

The art though is pretty good with a variety of models. Unfortunately they are completely wasted. The sis gets whored out to some cafe job where she is supposed to show her body and act slutty. I guess it's a bone for cucks and simps. You have limited say in how far she takes it by either siding with her or her boss. At one point she is onstage ready to be slutty because as she says "no one knows who she is". If there is one thing I hate in these games it's the attempts to give your Lis opportunities to be slutty with other men. On the other hand the MC finds a sub who he does the usual alpha crap with. It's tedious not sexy. I pretty much gave up at that point as the constant humor and then these shit fetishes make the models not worth waiting for scenes with.

I guess if you like fart jokes this might appeal to you. I gave it two stars for the models and zero for the script, fetishes and overall experience.

This game really surprised me with its humour. In many VNs the attempts at humour are a bit cringey, but this game had me laughing out loud several times.

The plot is a bit quirky and out there, but it all works because of that humoristic approach.

Many scenes are animated and I found myself looking at the character's facial expressions and body language a lot (as opposed to many VNs where I just read the text and maybe check briefly a scene) because many times there are nuances and changes in these throughout a scene.

The sex scenes are also very well animated and fun at the same time as hot, which is also uncommon.

To top it all off, the models are unique and beautiful, the writing is good and without grammar or other mistakes.... overall I couldn't give this anything else than a 5/5, had a blast playing it.

This game is awesome. The characters look great and the gameplay is actually fun. Plus it's really funny. I have laugh aloud on several occasions. Can't wait to get more content in future updates.

I don't really get this game. The renders, models are really top notch, clearly a great effort (and skill!) went into this game. And then its butchered completely by the continuous flow of cringy "jokes" that the author tries to sell us as "story".

To the author: c'mon man, this could have been an easy 4 star incest game if you had stick to a generic story. With a little extra effort on the writing part maybe even more. Was it really necessary to screw it up this much?

The overall game was good, but there was too little sex animation and too much narrative dialogue .
The author wants to be funny in a fantasy story, but honestly what's funny affects the overall effect of your story .
One of the works you can look ,'Power Vacuum', at is the author who adds a lot of laughs while moving the story along in sections .
The overall dialogue is pretty good, it's only been updated a few times but it's still quite a long story, but since I'm not a native English speaker, I'm not really interested in long stories .
Hopefully the author will add more sex scenes in the future so as not to waste the good girl image , now the game is over an hour long, and I only have three pages worth saving, which is a shame for me .

Honestly, when I first started to play this game, it felt stupid so I abandoned it for a short time to focus on other games. I decided to give it another shot a bit later, and I'm so glad I did. Like many others have stated, this is one of the few games that got a genuine laugh out of me (two others I can immediately think of are Haleys story and Space Corpse XXX).
This game is very different though because it feels like "controlled chaos", similar to an episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force (I'm showing my age, ouch). The part where your sister jumps up and teleports with her demon, or the, "I AM THE LAW!!" scene, wont leave my memory any time soon. Holy crap that was funny.

This game broke me. Laughed so many times, when that stupid “Partying in Russia” music and the senseless cut scenes came up.

Ok, more serious now. First, that's not that classic fast finish or “MC is dead” thing. Dad is there, yes, and he's crazy. Don't like him much, but that's just my taste. Considerate it as pro, not con, because it's part of the story, that makes the game so diversified.

The grind is ok, and it's worth it. Renderings are nice, Models are fine, too. If you're looking for a VN, that makes you finish and laugh, you're right.

Above the Clouds has some of the better humor I've experienced on this site. Jokes, puns, situational comedy, visual references, sound effects, and other devices make this game a very enjoyable comedy. It's so entertaining that I think it's worth checking out in spite of what I'm about to say: the erotic content is kind of a mess.

No sex scene ever feels earned. The sexual progression feels a bit like the author is following a formula of sexual beats, like, "Okay, it's chapter 2. This is where the protagonist should see the sister naked. Chapter 3: time for either a blowjob from a non-relative or hand stuff with a family member."

But it's missing the connective parts. It's missing any romance, sexual tension, or gravitas to build up to these scenes because every scene is just (admittedly amusing) comedy until it's time for the protagonist's dick to come out.

For example, there's a character who has barely interacted with the protagonist or shown attraction to the protagonist when she tells the protagonist he can hang out in her tree house while she's at school. While there, he finds her BDSM box. She comes back from school, he basically says, "I found your toys, slut", and she's just like, "Okay I guess you're my daddy now," while letting him put a remote controlled vibrator inside of her.--And of course, during the entire ensuing sex scene, the protagonist's sister is comically searching for the sound of the vibrator, again creating conflicting tones.

In conclusion, Above the Clouds is not erotica. It's a comedy game with some super awkward sexual content. That puts it at odds with me because I think most people play games with explicit sexual content for reasons they will not achieve here. However, apparently that "works" here a little more than it doesn't work, because it still gets 4 stars.

Great game, great humour, the models are beautiful and the mc is a decent dude. The comedy is not over the top its absolutly perfect.
If this game became a series it would be awesome. The moms on this are perfect can not wait to see more of them. Always a sucker for redhead so can not wait to see more of timmy's mom

Great animation and the amount of detail is astonishing compared to other visual novels. I can see the author putting lots of effort into this.
- The characters all seem real and down to earth, unlike some other games with an unrealistically horny attitude toward mc (except for The Angel, but she isn't coming from the earth so...).
- The sound effects and music are on point, to be honest, I think the game is already really good in the audio department and doesn't need voice acting. - The story is really easy to get into since it doesn't have many dramas, and it is genuinely funny. I found this game on a bad day and it definitely put the first smile of the day on my face at the time.

This one is fairly unique. It's got by far the best humour I've experienced in a porn game, which is fantastic. I don't remember the last time I played a H game without skipping dialogue. On the other hand, it's very story focused, and not so much "porn" focused". The sex scenes are good, and the character models are amazing, but sometimes it feels like it has too little porn. I'd give it a 7/10, but sadly I can't give half stars in the rating.
Definitely good if you want to have a laugh, but I'd say it needs to raise the focus on the sex stuff.

This game is hilarious and fun to play Characters are attractive, renders are well done, and there is a great use of motion and perspective to tell the story like it was an anime. It is obvious that a tremendous amount of thought and effort went into the details of this game.

Sure, there are a million jokes and at least half of the jokes fall completely flat, but that's ok, Like a struggling stand-up comic, the game just keeps trying and then eventually gets a giggle out of me. Psychotic manipulative Hannah is particularly hilarious.

The creator likes to repeat certain elements, and it usually works. The doors being kicked open over and over again was funny, then it got annoying, then it became even more funny. The different fights are excellent mockeries of all sorts of anime tropes. The kink relationship with Mia is both hot and silly. So between these three elements, I'm expecting Mia to kick down a door and give a super saiyan kung fu beatdown to a bunch of incredulous bad guys naked with her hands tied behind her back. Or something like that, I'm not sure where he can take it next, but the creator seems to like to tie things together like that. And it usually works.

Sure, there is no deep erotic tension except maybe with the mom (the only character with any conscience at all), but who cares, not every game needs to smolder. Sometimes a stupid silly game is fun. This is fun, and better than 98 percent of the games on this site.

Complete garbage, every few seconds there is a 10 yo obnoxious, terrible, unfunny joke, it is unbearable after 10-15 minutes. It sucks because the models look really nice and it is refreshing seeing new faces.

I cannot say enough about the comedic aspect of this game. It is lighthearted and very funny. The build up for the sex scenes is of course a main attraction in the game but in my opinion this would be a great game even if there were no sex scenes. Great renders and fabulous characters. And HOW did that twig get there???
