Yeah I always turn that shit off when they try to add voice acting to these things. Head canon for character voices is always better... Also the voice acting is always cringe as fuck, especially when the dev is a weeb. IMO, hiring voice actors is a huge waste of money.
it can be used effectively, I think anyway. the only good example of this that I have is Eternum, so maybe its hard to compare to any other game on this site. Like saying gasoline can taste good if its prepared by a top level chef
90% of the time the voices don't sound anything like you'd think the characters would sound either, which just makes it weird too.
I have no idea what you're talking about. Helium-balloon voices with pErFeCt EmPhAsIs on every phrase and never any unnecessarily long, drawn-out words (because reasons) are excellent for games. SO realistic!
The only good voice acting is "during sex" voice acting - as long as it doesn't sound like Japanese porn. That shit is so damned unrealistic. "Ahh, ahh - I'm on the edge of orgasm from your first touch and I'm going to do this high-pitched screechy sound for the next 10, 20, 30 minutes of this video!"
Voice acting in VN's are as bad as anime Dubs
Agree, imo it's just waste of money and time, creator can allocate those money and time for something else like rendering or writing a better story
This VN is such a "SILLY GAME" - I LOVE Playing It Again and Again .and like all voice acting that devs try to do in VNs, it would get muted..
I don't have the insider scoop or anything, this is just my guess; I think minimum 3 more chapters and maximum 5. Considering where the main story currently is on top of the all the side stories that still need to be finished (most of which aren't even half way through yet I would assume).
