Haha, hearing this makes me legitimately really happy. Especially the part about wanting to read more of the backstory. There actually is a backstory to Peter and Raptor's relationship -- I consider Peter to be one of the major characters in the game. He's the source of your power, after all. I figured that since this was a hentai game, I would focus on getting the hentai done first and worry about adding the backstory later for the people who cared enough to read it.
But knowing that someone is actually interested makes me pretty enthusiastic.
I totally get what you mean about the sex scenes needing art. That's one of my big plans for later versions. Hopefully it doesn't take me too long to figure out a solution. Thanks greatly for the feedback!
Personally, I'd like more backstory as well with regards to how this pact came to be. It wouldn't be surprising if Raptor's father passing in conflict and having to assume more responsibilities shaped his worldview and made the pursuit of power, no matter the cost or source, seem appealing. Additionally, I'd highly enjoy learning more about the world's lore in general such as the races present given we already know about humans, elves, and demons, geography since exiling the king mentions the harsh jungles of Bemvor, and the other countries as well as their governments.
Of course, I'll admit not everyone would be interested in such content and there are plenty of examples on this forum alone with regards to some people only viewing sex scenes as content while disregarding everything else. Backstory can be shared when appropriate or opportunities to learn more about it made available for players to pursue if they so wish. In a similar vein, sources of lore can be made available for those who desire to learn more about the setting without interfering with the desires of those who just want to view the erotic content.
As for the art, while the current assets are a little rough, they are serviceable at the moment. Given the quality of the writing, you could possibly use an approach like Sierra Lee with regards to The Last Sovereign or Threshold with Monster Girl Dreams. The former just had character sprites for notable characters while all of the scenes were purely text based, although art is now coming slowly.
The latter started off purely text based with in-depth text descriptions for the characters and numerous artists have been commissioned to make sprite artwork for the characters with the same said artists also planned to be commissioned to make the CGs for the erotic scenes once all of the sprite artwork is finished. While it did result in taking time to line up artists given they needed to make art that fit the developers vision as well as be willing to make art depicting sex scenes, the long term results will be art that is consistent for both the sprites and the scenes and by having a number of artists with roughly similar styles by and large, should one artist eventually disappear or be unavailable, the creation of art for the game will not be ruined unlike if there was only a single artist responsible for all of the assets.
This can also tie into the introduction of backstory and lore given both of those titles have potentially relevant approaches such as introducing backstory if it is important, if not critical, to the plot or having items that can be interacted with that can provide some backstory, such as a memento or even a journal that chronicles a few notable events across a few entries that can be selected and read at will. Whereas lore can be handled between information repositories such as a library and/or by conversing with sufficiently knowledgeable individuals and asking for them information.
Thanks! Honestly, the more feedback I receive, the more inspired I will feel to work on the game. I know myself well enough to know this. The amount of work I get done on my previous writing projects, how frequently I updated, was always based on how active the readers were. The best kind of feedback I can get right now is along the lines of:
"I wish there was a catgirl in the game."
"It would be cool if there was a footjob scene with (character)"
"That random NPC at (location) looks good, will there be more stuff to do with her later on?"
These are the kind of remarks I'm going to have in mind when I'm working on versions 0.11 and 0.12
As for this, I'll preface it by saying that I have explored all of the content in the current version including the possible variants. Like with the queen, I explored capturing her and viewing the scene in the tower as well as the various chains in the throne room such as openly NTRing the king as well as making the Queen of Bellute enjoy it both via skill and magic. Ultimately, I went with the chain of options that results in the Queen accepting becoming pregnant and turning her into a Breeder Queen.
This decision is tangentially related and relevant to some of the plot threads you have introduced. Notably, Kirin's quest that involves the Elven village in the forest to the south of the capital city and castle. Given that Kirin is concerned with the lack of sex drive and the gradual extinction of the Elves, that sounds like a perfect opportunity to get involved and make certain that the race, and Raptor's bloodline, endures. Of course, there is another reason to want to get involved. Assuming that this Elven village is a part of Bellute, then gaining and ensuring the loyalty of this village to their new king would be a wise decision with regards to maintaining the overall stability of the kingdom as well as strengthening the control of the new sovereign over his domain.
That said, this would conflict with Peter's desires at first glance as it would not be causing destruction and, depending on interpretation, would not ruin Human society in a traditional sense. The latter could be met in a way if the long term implications of this resulted in a less homogeneous, but still stable, society that featured more involvement from the Elves. However, there is another issue that would also require immediate attention and that would be the monsters in the mountains and caves to the southeast. Fortunately, at the moment, this is a rather open option given what type of monster or monsters these are was not specified. I'll admit if they were male, or mostly male, monsters I'd probably be more inclined to put them to the sword while if they were of a type of monster more traditionally viewed as female or even all female such as Lamia, Harpies, or Arachne, I'd most certainly try to recruit them.
The latter option would be another less traditional form of "ruin" to human society as it would just be changing the composition of the kingdom again and possibly introducing exotic goods for commerce. As for destruction however, such a notable and open shift could be viewed as an abomination by certain other kingdoms or even outright heretical for a theocratic nation or other highly religious kingdom, especially if said religion posited that monsters of any variety are the personification of evil to be destroyed at all costs. That could result in Peter getting the destruction he wants via war and more traditional ruin of other human societies as well.
So as a TL;DR for future content, my immediate concerns and focus would be on the Elven village and monster nest to the southeast as those two elements could represent an immediate, and possibly existential, threat to the latest dynasty to assume the throne of Bellute. There is also the mage stronger than Merlin since he was stated to be the second strongest in the kingdom, not including Raptor. But, it wouldn't surprise me if that mage was an Elf, so that'd possibly be two birds with one stone. If not, while this individual would be the third major focus, the currently known information doesn't provide as much in the way of clear goals to pursue beyond neutralize this threat by one means or another whereas the Elves and monster nest are problems that already have elements that are less nebulous in nature.
Apologies for the massive wall of text, but I do hope that you find this at least a little useful,
