Not sure because I feel like this is going to be fixed anyways but the lack of sprites for Pharah at the beginning is a bit noticeable. Drawn in the scenes, everything seems fine but her sprite seems to be drawn with thinner lines as well which looks out of place with the other characters on screen.

To avoid our project getting struck down by Blizzard.

Our team now consist of 10 people, most of which are relying on this project as their main full-time job. So risking the possibility of a lawsuit will be putting in danger the jobs of many people we now call colleagues.

That's why we decided to do a name change and are right now in process of redesigning characters to look more original (Reina and Zahera are the first one we did, but expect more soon)!
Aww, even though I'm not familiar much w/ Overwatch, I was invested with the characters based on the game. I understand the change but it's gonna be a bit jarring with most of the characters being OCs since the original appeal for A34 was being a parody of Overwatch.

So no possibilities of keeping two different versions? Both in name and cosmetic wise?

Having the characters renamed at this point just feels wrong
We are currently focusing on adding a feature to manually change any character's name in game to whatever you see fit. Basically, we'll try to give as many tools in our players hands to adjust the game to their liking, while also keeping the project out of harm's way.

Honestly speaking, we're not the biggest fans of the fact that we have to make those changes, but at the same time we also understand, that it would be irresponsible to just turn a blind eye on a possibility of getting struck down by Blizz. Not only we would be risking to flush the money people invested by this point down the drain, and never get a chance to finish the project, but also there's like 10 people working on this game now, most of which are employed full-time and rely on this silly little porn game as their main source of income.

We'll try our best to implement all necessary tools for customization as soon as possible, so the names and colors you see now are mostly just "default" preset you should be able to change. That's basically the plan.

Thanks for pointing this part out. By "lack of sprites" you mean lack of emotions or what exactly?
Otherwise we will adjust her sprites, so they won't stand out as much.

We are currently working on an option that will allow you to freely change the name of any character you want. No ETA yet, but we will keep you updated. It will be patched in as soon as possible!
On top of that, we are looking into ways of implementing different kinds of customization, that will help you bring the more "classical" look back, while still keeping our project out of harms way. Our main goal with this is to give you as many tools to customize your experience as possible, so people who are still on the edge in regard to updated designs could get them as close as possible to their desired look.
We are perfectly aware that new designs might hit people the wrong way, and we will do our absolute best to allow those, who came here for the original looks to get exactly what they wanted, or at least something that would be as close to it as we can get without getting slammed by "cease and desist" letter.

Don't get me wrong, I love A34's writing and story, it keeps me quite engage and invested on MC and the characters but the minimal amount of interactive or decision options during conversation with characters makes the game feel more of a Kinetic Novel even though it's a non-linear sandbox.

Okay, so, the deal with that part is mostly the lack of my experience as a game-writer. I tried to avoid making any non-linear parts just because I had no idea how to properly handle them, but if we're talking about just ways to interact in a different manner, without affecting the story itself, that I can do.

I will also look into non-linear story writing, so we can make at least some parts feel more like a proper quest, but I'm not gonna promise that every existing storyline will be changed accordingly, though I really want to tinker with it.
