considering that Kiriko is somewhat common in Japan, you might not have to change her name and just slightly alter her look. or you could just substitute a single letter and instead just call her Kimiko. as for Ashe, not sure what to call her

REINA, FINALE — $2 RELEASE
After many excruciating months of wait, the time has finally come. The finale of one of, if not THE most popular, the most requested, and certainly the absolute fan-favorite route is here, and it's glorious.
We don't want to pat our own backs, but it just might be one of the best content expansions we have ever released. In the span of many months we have been meticulously figuring out the best way to end this story, and, in our professional opinion, it might be it. The perfect balance of drama, cute awkwardness, and spice. Oh, so much spice!
But let's address the elephant in the room — the redesign. It was a point of contention for many, and we completely understand, but we also want to make it clear — it was a necessary evil. As our game grows larger, it gets harder and harder to hide behind the excuse of being a parody game, so we simply had to ensure that all of the money that you pledged, and all of the time we dedicated to this project won't be lost in vain in case we get slammed by a lawsuit. Sure, we might have a solid defense: Our game is transformative enough to call it a fair use, and it is free to play, apart of the early access our patrons get rewarded with, but the reality of the situation is, we have no means to deal with a multi-billion dollar corporation in the court. If we want this project to prosper, we have to make those small sacrifices.
We made sure to keep her new appearance as close as possible to the very recognizable original form, as well did our best at implementing all of the feedback you provided in the span of last few months, perfecting her updated design. On top of that, we didn't change anything in her story, keeping it as is, since it was already completely original to begin with, as well as avoided making any changes to her body form in the scenes that were already present. The only thing we changed in the content you unlock throughout her route — is the hairstyle, piercing and the makeup she uses.
Basically, the only significant change are her dialogue sprites and the name itself. That's it, nothing else.
In the future, we will do our absolute best to stay as close as possible to the designs you have already gotten used to, and make only small adjustments, that shouldn't impact the quality of your experience. We are also looking into a possibility of adding more customization options, that will allow you to bring the updated look even closer to the original you are used to see.
Getting back to the update itself.
Making her final update has turned into one of the biggest passion projects for our team, where we poured all of our heart and soul to ensure that the best girl gets the best ending. Though, calling it an "ending" might be a little disingenuous...
Who knows what other misadventures your beloved hacker has planned for the future?

True, but if you're going to make a parody without parody elements... and yeah, I'm gettin reaaaalll sick of Blizz's crackdown on lewds. Playing a private server and there don't appear to be many if any functioning nude mods left, due to the primary nude modding site having a policy of anti-private server. Nevermind that the site's basically dead because of Blizz nuking the modding coumminity with a banwave a while back. The last few people adamantly cling to "no private servers" because they don't wanna make Blizz angry XD

Was wondering why the character names were all wonky. Now it makes sense! Also lol, no way you can make amazing and sexy characters in a video game and expect to keep artists from making lewd images of them. Blizz just flexing their tiny brain cells again smh.
i dont think you know what a parody is. you know that Third Crisis is a parody of overwatch too, right?
there are levels of separation to parody, and i would argue that this was closer to a fan-game than a parody, which usually creates exaggerated or very similar characters to existing ones and has them act the same. If anything, its more of a parody now.
I know the names were changed to not get in trouble with Blizzard and all that. But I'd like to point out there's nothing stopping someone from making a little mod to change the names back. It wouldn't be the creator's fault someone made a mod. Just saying to those that know how to make mods for these types of games.

I have found some bugs in this update, namely the one with Kamilah (Ana) quest, i reach fryday and nothing goes on, the other one i found is in one of Reina (sombra) quest is mostly a visual thing in one of her scenes where she goes bald for a few moments and you can see the old outline of her hair

Looks also, but later.
Reina (Sombra) is also the only character to receive such drastic visual changes, and we will revert some of them back, though we'll do our best to keep it in the "legally safe" area. The majority of other girls in the game are more or less "generic" once you strip them of their OW armor, while Sombra had both memorable colors and very distinguishable elements, like implants.
Below you can see two examples of already updated designs for Freja (Brigitte) and Ava (DVa). As you can see, in their case we mostly just adjusted details, as there's no shot Blizzard could copyright "redhead scandinavian mommy" and "your average streamer girl" looks.
We will keep the same minimalistic approach when working on the rest of redesigns, so if you came here for a parody game, you will still get exactly what you expected.
