The main idea has not changed, this is mainly a game where Sofia cheats on Bob and tries to justify that it's not cheating through her Rulebook. By adding some paths, I can hide portions of the game depending on the preferences of the player.Like Gonzolino, I do wonder if trying to please everyone is a necessary step. It's good to listen, but it's best to stick to your vision unless you come to an issue with it, or a suggestion genuinely takes you and changes your vision (some ideas are genuinely good), and hopefully that's why you've come to this decision.
For me, I also feel that a loyal path is not always necessary in these games. StrawberryCheese83 and I have clashed good-naturedly on this one in the past on another thread, so you can see there are valid opinions on both sides. I have nothing against a loyal path, and will play it if it exists and I like the game, but here, would it be taking you too far from the original premise of the game? The whole point is "According to Sofia, it's not cheating if..." - if she's being 100% loyal, and there will be no rulebook for this path, what will the premise of the game be?
For the other two paths, I would be fine with you keeping the original "kinetic" gameplay, but if you are comfortable with the extra work that multiple paths will bring, I admit that I prefer choices and to be able to play twice (or more) with different outcomes. Paths 2 and 3 would essentially be Sharing and Cheating (some might label them NTS and NTR). With the third path - "Oblivious" - would it be the case that Bob catches bits and pieces, but doesn't see the whole picture? So he can become suspicious, but won't see anything that is strong enough to allow him to act, or even to question Sofia? Or will it essentially be like watching the "loyal" path, from his point of view, where nothing untoward is happening at all?
As you mentioned, in the "Loyal" path, there will be no Rulebook, and it will only show the love story between Bob and Sofia with some occasional exhibitionism. So not very exciting... As you said, there's tons of other games with "harem" or even better love stories than this, but since there is love between Sofia and Bob, I figure I could hide the "ugly" things and show only the love between them.
For "Oblivious", the idea is that Sofia cheats behind Bob's back. He may or may not find out in the future (maybe the player can choose what should happen then, like turning to "Cuckold" path, keeping "oblivious" or breaking up with Sofia - maybe "Game Over"?)...
For "Cuckold" path, there will be 2 sub-paths: "Willing Cuck" and "Passive Cuck". On "Willing Cuck", Bob will push Sofia to cheat even more. "Passive Cuck" Bob will not push her, she will do it on her own.
I don't like humiliation, so I don't plan on adding humiliation on any of these paths.
This is more or less what I have in mind.
