To clarify are you speaking of the 2D art "sprites" or the pixel art? I assume 2D art for both points.
And yeah some sprites are taller than others since some characters are taller. I've actually messed around the overall sizing multiple times already haha. I think I'll actually move everyone more towards the outside of the screen as well during cutscenes. I did that for a few of the Golden Barrel scenes.
RE: Menu artwork. Yeah that'll update based on what Emma is currently wearing.
RE: Walk around 2D art sprites on the side of the screen. I've played around with the idea but I'm not 100% sure I want to do it. Plan is for everyone is going to have nice taller pixel sprites eventually. Maybe if I did it'd be by default off and people that really want it can turn it on in the settings.
Yea I am talking the 2D art sprites. As for the last point, I really hope you decide in favor. I understand not being sure if you want it to be around permanently, but I think it can't hurt to have the option to turn it on/off (for Emma's sprite) in free roam, to see which outfit she is wearing right now, it really adds more value to the outfits imo. If you can't get warm to the idea an alternative is to have a submenu (in the main menu) where you can look at her "status" and it displays her currently worn outfit sprite.
(Also, regarding sprite sizes, Hilda for example would definitely benefit from having a smaller sprite. And keeping all the sprites on the same level (i.e. feet or lowest point of sprites start at the exact same point on the screen) makes the interactions feel a lot more consistent I think.
Also, since I got you here. These are only suggestions. But regarding NTR, having masquarade masks (venetian a la carnival) is a really sexy idea that's been floating in my head lately regarding NTR scenarios. And outfit-wise chokers/collars kind of really tickle my fancy. Just some ideas in case our tastes align or you need some ideas to put on outfit polls down the line. You can feel free to ignore this if it does not pique your interest as writer/artist.
Putting all else aside, it really excites me that we have a FMC on our hands here who is on the one hand rather soft and has a good heart, and also a bit naive when it comes to sex, but also someone who is non the less capable in combat (it seems) and has a physique and combat outfit that seems to underline that. The combat outfit looks just modest and robust enough (with the spear too) to seem like a good adventurer who is not physically weak and can kick some ass if needed, but also has a lot of really nice looking design elements that complement her figure and make her look desirable. Good work on the character design, really. Hairstyle is great too.
