The game doesn't have any sort of progression mode at the moment. If you want to check out other characters, you go back to menu, and choose another character.
The greyed-out option is the progression mode, which doesn't exist yet.

Works fine on W10. Unfortunately it sucks, so much there's no reason to load it up.

The window is impossible to resize and more than half the UI is covered on most monitors, so indeed the windows version is unplayable atm
