VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Acting Lessons [v1.0.2] [DrPinkCake]

This is my first review, though I've played most of the popular games here. This is the first adult game I've played where I feel genuine emotion about my decisions. A particular moment just occurred, where one of the characters simply gave me a look, and I actually laughed out loud. I was so impressed I felt like leaving this review.

I had a bit of trouble getting into this game at first, but it's definitely worth it. I'm also looking forward to restarting and making different decisions.

This game is definitely worth a look.

Fantastic game from a fantastic developer. Wonderfully written story that captures you along with beautiful girls and sexy scenes which is why we are all here. Having played many visual novels I can confidently rate this as my most enjoyed. You will not regret pledging to DrPinkCake. Not only is his work amazing but him himself and all the family in the discord are really nice and welcoming people who are happy to help and chat. My only regret is that I didn't find Acting Lessons and become a patreon to Dr earlier. Definitely deserving of five stars, I would give more if I could!

It is a quality experience. Something very rare in this genre. Definitely worthy to be in Popular section.
Don't be that cheap, the dude deserves support, this is the type of developer that should be encouraged to put his passion and make it his work.

This is a realy well made game. Has good looks, nice characters that are well balanced againts each other and I liked the story.
Had a lot of laughs as well, especialy with with Liam. Ofcourse there is some cheesy stuff, but some depth too.

Had a lot of fun playing the game and you will enjoy this one

This game is amazing. Not only does it have sexy scenes, which it has some of the sexiest chicks and scenes ive seen, but its hilarious. This game is entertaining as hell aside from the h content. Not to mention great music. Has some feels, has some laughs, has some incredibly sexy girls.

Setting 4 stars, as there is no 4.5 grade.
First of all, a really good story.
Characters seem to be alive, everyone with his/her unique style.
The part with a friend (sorry, forgot his name) was really smth you wouldn't expect from an entertaining game.
Renders are awesome, probably will 'steal' few renders as wallpaper.
The only annoying part as for me, for sticking to one of the girls.
Author gives you no choice here.
But its his choice how to give you the story.
Anyway, the game is 100% should be tried.

What can i say about such a great experiencie...
I loved it because is not the kind of game that is all based on sex..
This one has a very nice and complex story.. I can say this will keep you focused and you will not skip a single dailogue.
Their characters are simply unique, they all are charismatics, beautiful and superwell writen.
It is also very easy to feel identified with some characters for how human they look, the writing here again is amazing..
Reanders and animations here are top notch.
What i love the most is it's originality of making something very different here, the great sense of humor & drama.. And ofc, how to forget about the good of Liam haha!
Music works really well with all the different moments & situations you get to experiencie in the game.
It's easy to see the level of enthusiasm, affection and effort that Dr.PinkCake has put in it's wonderful first work.
Just give it a try and judge it by yourself.

Good writing, beautiful facial expressions, varied characters with interesting personalities beyond the purely sexual aspects. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but now I'm very much looking forward to future chapters!

One the best VN games I've ever played.
Great Story and Great Graphics at Most Renders.
Sometimes the Graphics and the Scene Lighting was a Little Bad but It won't hurt your experience.
I Liked The Liam's Role in the game ; So that I can say that I loved most of the Game because of him !!!
It wasn't like any other VN game I've ever played !

At its halfway point, Acting Lessons is already a fantastic game featuring well-developed characters with distinct personalities/poisonalities and top-notch artwork. The game features a beautiful balance of raw emotion, romance and sex rarely seen in Adult Gaming. Nice soundtrack as well.

Oh, my dear reader, Acting Lessons is one of those 1 in 500 Adult Games, when, after downloading, you should remind yourself, "its good to be alive!" and you give a wad of cash to the significant other and send the s/o away for the day and empty the house of kids and other distractions. This is because Acting Lessons is a game of immersion to be enjoyed only by you, your favorite liquid refreshment, and Megan and the girls (and Liam, too). You won't be sorry - - and you know what, dear reader? The game only keeps getting better and better...

Easily one of my favorite games on F95. Great choice of models, decent writing and perfect pacing. Not chaining sex scene after sex scene as a fan service, but no grind either.

Damn, i cant even decide who's my favorite. Melissa, Angela Rena are all hot as fuck. I also love that the story is created without all those deus ex machina gimmicks like demons, magic or mind control.

Had to add a review for this great game, to hopefully recommend it to other people to try out. Great story, visuals, music, animations, characters (Liam is hilarious!), and it even teaches you a bit about the acting profession if you're at all interested in that. The only minor downside is that the sex scenes are fairly vanilla so far and sometimes feel a bit short, but that will likely improve as the many various relationships progress, so I'm willing to be patient on that front for now.

This game is awesome.
The writing, the arts and the story are top tier.

Renders 5/5: Probably the game with the best renders I've ever seen. So 5 stars just for the renders.

Story 3/5: The story is MEH, the whole acting theme is reather irellevant. Also it tries to be more a visual novel than a sex game, I feel really bad that Liam got cancer. Most of the girls want a relationship instead of having fun.

Sex 3/5: Looks good but it is rather vanilla, almost no kinks. Also no sex sounds and almost no text. Megan who the game forces you to foucs in doesn't give up the goods (lame).

Girls 3/5: The girls are very pretty, they have a very natural look to them. It would have been intresting to see more variety in the body shapes, biggest boobs are C cup. Also I kind hate Megan she is boring AF and I am way more intrested in any of the other gals.

TLDR: Great graphics, kind of vanilla. Still one of the best games I've seen, the developer clearly knows what he is doing.

Finally a friend who I'm actually caring about. I actually felt that I disappointed Liam by going for the douchy cheating route and fucking the blue-haired chick. Good dialouge, good sex scenes, great job with the game so far! Really hoping there is a possibility to get a "harem ending" with at least two of the characters.

Excellent game, i would definitely recommend this game. I would say this game is in my top 10 adult games i've ever played. The story and characters are really believable.
also the rendering is really good, the characters make me feel as if im actually there, i really wish most games that are on this site and patreon had this level of detail, unfortunately alot of them are gold diggers and are releasing sub standard games just for money (i have become a pledger on patreon for this game)

I love this game! It's really complex. You can do this or that, and it's matters. Every update is just full of story and beautiful renders. This game is 10/10 for me, even will be good if there are some real animations! Good job dev, you are amazing!

Wow. I really like the way this game is going. Not only are the graphics great and the animations well done but it has started to add some some very REAL LIFE situations that are totally believable. Great job dealing with the emotions involved with disease, physical abuse, unfaithfulness and forgiveness are elements I haven't seen in any other games much less having all of them in one game. It is beginning to explore both the compassion, hurt, disappointment and other emotions that would exist in real life situations while giving us at least some sexual situations that work well within the overall plot of the story and not just to throw them in as an aside.

Only one thing lacking which is the inability to use previous version saves. I had to play this from the beginning.

A solid 5 even though previous saves don't work. But that could become an issue if that keeps happening as the game gets larger. The size of the download is somewhat concerning for how new the game is but the content is there.

Have to admit Ep 6 gave me a gut and heart check. Having lost a son to sids (crib death then), two grandaughters in a fire and recently a brother to cancer this VN hits home but in a very well crafted way. Aside from the great graphics and above average animation the story draws you in and makes you feel what the characters are feeling. Would have been great if all came out of the fire but they didn't.

Another real life event is brought out in ep 7. That of survivors guilt for 2 of the characters as well as the support of friend(s). Yet another unexpected, although not totally so, at the end. I am very curious to find out how the dev with finish this VN in the next and last update.
