Upside is as well that, unlike in threats for other Games that touch more serious topics, the discussion here is also rather lightheartet.

I always loved 90ies action movies like Die Hard or the Schwarzenegger pics. So I am totally alright with Action (and hot lesbian sex, which I now realise was missing in Schwarzenegger movies).

Arnold's larger than life characters with their one liners weren't enough for you? ;) And there was plenty of action and excitement to get the blood pumping. :) At least for younger me. (Remember the fight with Sharon Stone in "Total recall" ?:sneaky:) If you added hot lesbian action into the mix that might have been too much for the audience. Probably for the censors too. :D
Now "get to the choppa" and "see you at the party". ;)

Not really. As it would ground it more in reality. Especially when the game presents us a serious story line, it wouldn't be unthinkable for the characters to react (more) realistically in regards to a relationship and bring the harem situation down to earth. Why should be everyone on board? Or at least agree to it as easily? That would provide more dramatic moments to the story in general and also to their relationship in particular. Not make it a thing of the past that is complete and done, but allow for it develope like the relationships with the other girls, thus make it interesting. ;) Of course she (the ex gf) could agree to join the poly relationship in the end if you played your cards right. ;):)
I think a distinction should be made between story drama and relationship drama. AR definitely has story drama that lasts for longer arcs, but unless my memory is spotty, what limited relationship drama exists is typically resolved quickly. That's likely an intentional choice, because there's plenty of people that might like narrative drama but not relationship angst, at least from time to time. Being grounded in reality isn't necessarily always a positive thing.

But that's what the scene implied, that some drama would follow. ;) As you said, so far there was very little drama in the girls' relationships. So when it suddenly appears, it catches you off guard. Maybe the scene should have been different or be cut. As I said it would have made for interesting development (in their relationship). It doesn't need to be dragged out like in a Latin American telenovela. ;)

Yeah, I get what you're saying. Personally, suddenly adding actual relationship drama would be very jarring, and when this scene can up it definitely did feel unexpected. But I think that's partially the point of the scene, since a good bit of comedy is the build up and sudden release of tension. It's a prank on the MC, but also a bit on us as the player since it briefly diverges from our expectations before resolving back to the established "norm" that we've come to expect from relationships in AR.

Edit: For people looking for more relationship realism or drama, I can see how it might be a bit disappointing to resolve so quickly. But from my perspective of what I've come to expect and enjoy when it comes to relationships in AR (mostly light-hearted fun), the quick resolution was a moment of "haha, the dev almost had me going there for a second."

And that sex scene was hot af!

So to be honest before the "drama" was mentioned here in the thread I had forgotten about it. But the threesome I had remembered :)

Well, it did surprise me. And the fact there actually was an angry response in the game makes it look intentional, like the dev assumed the players' reaction and to make up for it to the mc and the players she put in a sex scene afterwards. ;) I guess I'm in the minority that couldn't appreciate the joke. :cautious: Or the following sex scene.

The sex scenes are good. :sneaky: Some just could have been longer. :D
I appreciate that there's a lot of juices flowing and characters savoring them. ;)

Yeah, sure, the dev should cut a scene out that a lot of us enjoyed because you personally didn't like it.
Like I said I would have preferred a serious follow up with a proper resolution instead of a throwaway scene played for laughs. :(

For people looking for more relationship realism or drama, I can see how it might be a bit disappointing to resolve so quickly.
Indeed. For me it was wasting an interesting scene.
It was all going easy, too easy. I was expecting the mc's "luck", for the lack of a better word, to run out sooner or later. So that scene was that "iceberg" that you know must be somewhere out there. You can imagine my disappointment when it just fizzled out. "Slam bam, have a sex scene, now move along." :)
Well, maybe next time. ;)
