VN Ren'Py Completed Actual Roommates [Steam Final] [HanakoXVN]

The obtuseness of a fanbase can be hilarious.

HanakoXVN has said -- in nearly every posting about it -- that the Legendary ending was A) Something that only came about because of constant pestering; B) Not something intended to be in the game and won't be "canon"; and C) was going to be a "Secret" ending with no clues provided either in-game or by the author herself.

So the constant complaining about how hard it is to reach said ending, and the complaints about the actual revealed path, all show how LITTLE the "fan base" actually pays attention to anything the dev actually posts.

They just get a hint of "All-Girls" ending and think "Okay! This is what I've been waiting for!" (Wait, what do you mean I have to do something I don't want to do to get the outcome I want! That's not fair!!!)

Grow up. You're supposed to be adults, or you shouldn't be here.
Yes, I know, this post will be about as effective as any of Hanako's have been, but I couldn't restrain the snark ...

The only idea they are giving me is to not put any more things like that in a game.

That fucking ending wasn't even supposed to exist, it only came about 'cause people kept pestering me about having both sisters simultaneously.
I hate it, it goes against what I wanted the game to be (hence why the option for picking it is "I hate this", it's literally me speaking through MC), but I still put it in to make people happy and tried to make it as entertaining as I could.

I know this won't change anybody's mind, but I'll explain my reasoning behind the "leaving Spoon with Johnny" choice:
The Legend Ending it's not supposed to be a "perfect", "true" or whatever ending. It was supposed to be something extra for subsequent playthroughs and not something you'd stumble upon on the first go.
The solution was putting one of the requirements behind a choice that, from the feedback I've received from players, very few actually picked.

I now see that people view something like this differently than me and I'll keep it in mind for the future.

I'm still going to put in a UFO ending in Neon Heart and none of you can stop me.

Damn. Sounds hollow but knowing that I guess I'm a part of the problem. I'm certainly no stranger to authors having to cave or compromise their vision to appease their audience/editors/etc and it always results in a sub-=par result for the work itself(Bleach, JJK(I think), and numerous book series to say nothing of other VNs). If you read this my bad. I loved this game and it's been a rewarding experience to play thus far and if I wasn't dirt poor for it's entire run I would've subbed a long time ago. Will do so if I can at a later date.

I wanna start this by praising the developer (which I understand is one person alone?) of this game, this is a game that initially didn't grab me, but as soon as relationships and story started to unfold, I actually grew to like it.

Many games have long development cycles and not nearly as much content, consistency, transparency or agency as this one, also, an ending on sight with less than year and lot of content on its backburner? This developer's work ethic is impeccable, I promise you not many games mantain an schedule as good as this one, this deserves all the support it can get.

With that out of the way, I have one question, how the sequel is gonna play out? Does anybody have a short summary or something? Can we expect more of familiar tags? No need for spoilers, a simple description will do.

On my playthrough, and without even seeing this until just now (and I've played up to the end of current content so far), I named the cat Loki when the prompt came up to name the cat. I tend to name secondary characters in VNs name from pop culture or meme-y names for the lolz, but I find it adorable I happened to accidentally name the in-game cat your IRL cats name. Looking forward to any updates you have planned for either of your VNs, I like you writing and your humor so keep up the good work ^_^

You are still too harsh on yourself! Accept that you managed to do what only a miniscule number of devs accomplished: Finish a Story in almost a year, create a loyal fanbase and a network of fellow creators. Hats off to you!!!

AR2 sounds very good just make sure early on how you want to adress the incest crowd with this scenario.
