Zinfandel is a red grape with white flesh which is fermented on the crushed skins for about a week turning the wine purple, it is dry and fruity.
White Zinfandel is where the the juice sits on the skins for like an hour to turn the juice pink and the skins are removed then once fermented, Moscato (sweet white wine) is added to turn this into liquid candy for adults...
