At least they're up front about not working on it. It's way worse when devs say "Oh I'm totally making content" and then you still hear nothing for over a year.
Got harder my ass. How difficult can it be to just put out an announcement once a month/every 6 months updating on the status of the project? You ask, he got lazy and unmotivated. Happy to get the money he was getting and just said fuck it.

The market for this type game is still going strong. The issue is the game 'paused' before there was ever any sex scenes, AFAIK, and yeah there is no market for a game that has three chapters with no actual action. Not unless it's being highly worked on and updates are coming out relatively quickly so people know the wait won't be long.

I’ve been a hater in this thread but I’m still sad to see this game go, was one of my favorites when it moved to Renpy. Was super frustrated at the project going on hold suddenly and pretty sad to see it now disappear. It looks like even the discord is gonna die in 2 days. I hope Gaussianfracture or Binary Unit will share whatever renders they did make for the next update, as they had previews before the hiatus, or at least the story text.

Just replayed this after a long time. And scrolled through this thread.
Shame indeed. Was one of the best and original looking games that I was always rooting for and hopeful they would come back to it eventually, even if it has been already years at this point, so what harm could even further waiting do.
I think the models and assets are too good to be buried.
But it is what it is. Life happens.
Hope all the best to the team in their future endeavours.
If someone still is a member in that discord server, I remember there being a lot of screenshots, pictures, previews and whatnot that were shared only there about the game. Wish those were salvaged before the server goes dark.
I think there still would be interest in this game. But they have their reasons why development is no longer possible.

Kemono has everything that was on the discord from before April 25th, 2025. Afterglow and Afterglow_game in the search will take you to it.
It had promise visuals and story. I wish at times other developers could pickup the game dust it off and try continuing it ub some form.
