I wish they would give control of the created models to an LLM. Or a local LLM. It could be a great roleplay.
all it needs is an api and some code. Let the user write his own story.

Where is your game? I would love to check it out.
this, but i respect the dev attempt tho. but yeah, i agree, that he should have made simpler character (which can still looks good, for this kind of game a good looking model is more important than a normal game honestly, unless you do like the rpg maker game with drawing that appear on the screens during sex).

and focused on a gameplay loop, even simple. buthopefully, the dev learned from this attempt.

Noooo
It's abandoned
Rip, I was genuinely into this game..
Getting excited with each update....
Of course it’s abandoned. Some devs take on projects with the scope of a AAA game, but without the team or resources to back it up. Progress stalls because they’re trying to build something massive and beautiful, but it ends up empty and lifeless. They get caught in a cycle of obsessing over tiny details instead of pushing forward with the core features. Before long, the whole thing collapses. Abandoned.

Developers who learn to keep their project scope small tend to see better results and are far less likely to abandon their work.

I've said this before, but my theory is the dev never intended to actually finish or truly develop the game, he just wanted to learn Unreal Engine and use those skills to earn a job at a game studio or something like that, which he likely did. I mean think about all the features of this game that were basically just showcases of UE5 features. It makes a lot of sense imo.

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with that. It would've been appreciated to give the community a heads up or to hand future development over to someone else.

The problem with this game is that the game developer has no experience in game development. He spent a lot of time on work that will have to be redone.
Instead of making a basic prototype of the game and only after that do the graphics. He spent a lot of time on graphics and the most unnecessary feature in a single-player game - character appearance customization.
And on top of that, he ended up with optimization problems. Because he created a heavy protagonist and did not realize that the game will have to make at least two dozen other similar characters.
The game should give at least 30 FPS on RTX cards of the twentieth series at full level where different kinds of objects are used, including NPCs with animations and body physics loaded. And these NPС should be at least 10 in the field of view.
I'm sure the developer used textures around 4096 and a heavy character mesh, instead of optimizing for a low body mesh and a maximum texture of 1024 for the whole body.
As I said before, the developer started from a completely different direction and instead of making a game he ended up with a walking simulator. As a result, he encountered a problem with the game's optimization and now it will be easier for him to make the game again than to try to fix something...
Game working pretty well on RTX 2060S, so it isn't answer why development is stopping. But order of development wrong, u true.
