First, I want to sincerely apologize for the prolonged delay in the update and for not reaching out to you sooner. After carefully reviewing the situation, I realized that the primary reason for the delay was the “content voting” system. In the past, when I had full control over content decisions, it was much easier to make adjustments or replace problematic features on the fly. However, with the introduction of the content voting system, I was bound to follow the final voting results, which left little room for flexibility when unexpected issues arose. This rigidity significantly delayed the overall update process.
To address this, I have decided to remove the content voting system. Moving forward, our development team will prioritize and implement new features based on project needs and feasibility. That said, we still value and actively welcome all feedback from our supporters, and your input will remain a vital part of our development process. However, the final decisions will now rest with the development team to ensure smoother and more efficient updates.
I’d like to share more specific details about what caused the update to be delayed for so long. The content voting determined that I should develop Alice content, which heavily relies on implementing a new broadcasting system. This broadcasting system is quite complex, and despite numerous attempts to fix issues and rework parts of it, the system still faces many problems. The prolonged development of Alice content, which has remained stagnant for several months, has been a major source of stress for me. To avoid feeling stuck and to alleviate some of the stress, I started developing and adding other character content in the meantime. That’s why you may have seen characters like Nora, Adelle, Ruby, and Melissa added, along with various system improvements. However, as the Alice content is still incomplete, I have been unable to move forward with a full update release—and it looks like it will take additional time to finish.
I feel truly sorry for those who have been waiting for the Alice content. Given the current situation, I’m considering releasing an update without the Alice content for now, and I would like to hear your thoughts on this approach. Please note that the Alice content has not been canceled and will be included in a future update.
Once again, I deeply apologize for the lack of communication and the extended delay. I hope you can understand the reasoning behind this decision, and I promise that we will do everything we can to deliver a satisfying update in a timely manner. Thank you so much for your continued support.

Guys the Alice update with Alice being the main feature we have been waiting for for over 1 year will get 0 Alice content LETS GOOOO INSANE UPDATE BY THE GOAT DEV OF ALL TIME
So I wrote a huge essay with a lot of upvotes a month ago about the content voting system and how it was misleading patrons. That comment and a bunch of other discussion got purged from this thread for whatever reason, but this post shares a lot of the same language as what I wrote so I'm glad the dev is taking feedback to heart.
The part of patron voting limiting dev flexibility is very relatable, and the addition of content that people didn't vote for (Melissa/Teacher last update, Nora/Adelle/Ruby this update) as a way to take your mind off of a blocker while still giving content makes a lot of sense.
What doesn't make sense though is the stubbornness in not pivoting away from the "broadcasting system" or putting a placeholder in whatever areas don't work. In fact, with the Red Rose sneaking system while taking a bath, there is a placeholder there right now.
What I would recommend is timebox the efforts to develop the system, and if it can't be done within that time, drop the system and find some another way to implement the scenes. Which I assume are done because the previous report put the Alice content as 90% finished.
The core content of this game as well as all porn games is the scenes with the girls. The systems are just what players put up with in order to get to the scenes. I am sympathetic to devs because there are very few people in the world who want to make their living off of making porn games, so I'm open to playing through garbage mini-games if it lets the dev flex his creativity. But do not mistake the mini-games as being the core product, no one is playing this game to solve jigsaw puzzles or roll up drugs through clicking simulator or play some dumb crane game. In fact, most of the complaints about this game from the reviews are about these systems.
So Hexatail, if you're reading this, let me just say if you are frustrated with implementing a gameplay system that's draining your motivation, feel free to drop it. We as players will not miss it.

I'm not really clear on the hate here. What the dev is saying makes sense. The voting system creates rigidity in what content is being created. Which, if an issues arises, forces the devs to work through the issue rather than bypass it. That's just logic. If you're forced to drive route A and there's a pileup, you have to wait for route A to clear up rather than having the flexibility to pivot to route B.
Also, the term he uses "broadcast system" is likely just a generic term to avoid spoilers for Alice's story. Considering Alice seems to despise the MC, this could be a blackmail system, or, since she has caught us in the act a few times, maybe a voyeur system. Either way, that doesn't sound as simple as people seem to think it is. The dev has been putting out solid updates and has earned the benefit of the doubt.
That said, the delay in communication of the issue is a cause for concern, but nobody likes telling their boss they can't deliver what they promised. To me at least, that's how this is coming off. It sounds like somebody ran into an unexpected issue, thought they could get it fixed in time, worked through the due date, thought they could get it done before people were mad, realized that it was too late now, and finally had to report their failure. It sounds like the decision now is whether we wait a bit for the next update and getting a much bigger one with everything we wanted or a smaller one now that doesn't have the part we asked for.

Everyone on this thread enjoy the game and the graphics. I think we all agree with the Dev that voting and doing what the fan wants vs what the Dev wants is more difficult for the Dev. Dev should be able to roll out the game they want
But one of the key benefits for doners that change from 5-10 is this voting feature and 2 days earlier access. So its the shady practice of upcharging, not delivering, poor communication, and then complaining about it like its the doner's fault (which the Dev reaped benefits monetarily) is what the people in the forum is calling out.
Alice shmalace all I want to see is more Irene and Ruby content though I guess Alice could lead to more Ruby so in a way it is acceptable. I doubt we will ever see an Irene Ruby threesome because of rules. There are is almost to many LI in this to keep track of how close you are to anyone.

You aren't forced to drive route A or route B, you're supposed to arrive at destination C. If there's a pileup on route A you take a different route. No one cares what route you take as long as you get to the destination when you say you will.
Reading between the lines dev is trying to build some kind of dynamic chat scroll, which is kind of an abysmal effort effect ratio. If you get a month or two into a specific feature and its not going well its time to figure out how to fake it or give up. Continually working on the same thing increases your own frustration/stress, raises the stakes for whats expected (since its taken so long to get finished), and leaves the patrons feeling scammed which feeds back into more frustration/stress.

I’ve decided to remove the Alice content. It’s not canceled it will be updated once it’s finished later on. Right now, I’m working on removing the Alice content and also creating a few additional scenes. It will take some more time to complete the task and complete the translation.
I’ll share brief development post, including around one scene each time.

In the previous version, Nora’s eyes were covered, which made it difficult for players to see her emotional expressions. As a result, the scene lost some of its intensity and engagement. To address this, we are making adjustments to ensure her emotions are clearly conveyed, allowing players to connect with the moment more deeply.
While this requires significant reworking of multiple scenes, we believe it is a necessary step to improve the overall quality of the game. We’re working hard to implement these changes as efficiently as possible without compromising on quality, and we’ll continue to keep our supporters updated throughout the process.
