yes, it's really hard
first of all, the R18 patch was planned to be released by the dev in his blog post, he promised this under the condition that community would behave the way he want it, very restrictively, then proceed to hold said patch as hostage to make people behave, and we all know how well it will bode before it went down. You don't threat your own community and customer like that and believing they won't retaliate with massive backlash. And now he try to release the R18 patch into Steam as paid DLC, then what's the point of making it censored if you're going to blatantly post it on Steam store page if the initial objective is to avoid their annoying curator? that's like asking to be banned by Steam. To top it off he mentioned clearly that reactivate R18 will interfere with the graphic improvement as part of milestone promise so the graphic need to be rollback, that is essentially taking back what was promised to the customer
second, he make the game price 5x lower in Steam than DLsite and that is amazing, but then he decided to make R18 patch as DLC in Steam and till cost much MUCH higher than the base game so that both Steam and DLsite version cost essentially the same. This is extremely funny cause this implies that the porn element is 80% of the game while everything else is 20%, despite him talk big about he want people to enjoy Aideal as it's own game with gameplay and story
third, At no point that he mention he's going to stop and remove himself from hentai game industry forever, if so then why did he work on Lily prequel story for next project after he done with Aideal Steam release and update? he could just kiss goodbye and begone instead of doing another expansive project if really want to find better career in the industry
fourth, he mentioned multiple time how the action and decision he make are from AI, at first i thought he use some kind of moderator AI to filter annoying people, turns out he use AI to gauge the price of his product in Steam, clearly he actually use ChatGPT to make his decision, which mean every time he mentioned AI in the past he means he's been using ChatGPT (or the like) to decide what he will do, from moderating the community, making development decision, and even product pricing. Do you reckon he also ask AI to go into better industry?
Do i approve of the bullying? no i'm not. But clearly he brought this upon himself over multiple terrible decision, and he have the audacity to say "i didn't decide that, the AI did so it's not my fault" in one of his rant when dealing with disgruntled community member (he write this in one of his older post)
