How do you guys get it to do anything besides repeat itself a ton? I have dragon but the ai is really boring and repetitive in its responses
I found using these helped a bit. It will change the writing style the AI uses and it does seem to make a fairly large difference. You just go into /remember and at the bottom where styles is do something like "Writing style: Narrative, arousing." You can add "Rating: X-RATED." in styles as well to make it more likely to go porno directions.
And if the AI is too repetitive you might want to try making the randomness higher in settings.

That asides, I have found the AI does best when sort of used as a co-writer. You have to be pretty active in guiding it where you want it to go. Even with Dragon it will lose the plot if you just keep hitting enter. I like to use 'story' and do something like "Now you have to go find X" or something at the end of a scene, so it knows what direction to go; otherwise it tends to just pull something unrelated out. It tends to do pretty well within dialogues and scenes though. Here's one I just did in a superhero story, fighting the Joker; this is all the AI, I only edited one name.

My experience so far is I try to start something and end up fucking dying. View attachment 1012715
I JUST STARTED! STOP KILL ME!
Put something in the "pin" section so that the AI remembers and give it a reason why the game can't kill you. Maybe you're invincible, or people will listen to everything you say, or the police work for you and will protect you from everyone else, or something. This works almost all the time, but the occasionally the AI needs to be reminded of this even when it's in the "pin" section.

Anyone tried out the new world creation tool yet? It sounds like exactly the thing I've been trying to make with individual scenarios before, but I don't want to waste scales on a feature I have no clue how to use well.

I spent a few hours with the Dragon level AI.

Pros: you can pull off some really nasty non-consensual shit. Real sick (yet enjoyable) stuff, great descriptions by the AI. I love the fact that if you're unhappy with a description the AI gives you, you can "reroll" until you get a better result.

Cons: on longer sessions it feels like playing with a person suffering from Alzheimer's disease. In the beginning of the session your "father" Jerry is abroad on a business trip, a couple of minutes later "mom" laments the death of her husband Dave in a car accident. Stuff like that. AI has trouble "remembering" characters who are not active.

Apparently it can't remember beyond about 20 actions, so you have to make good use of the Pin tool and world info, updating them as you go.

For anyone stumbling over this being interested, the developer seems to have been going on a censorship spree recently(Patreon style),involving direct human review if triggered.
People who wanted to engage in certain content might want to stay clear.

Never mind certain content, apparently those affected by the censorship can't even use a number lower than 18 without risking being flagged for review. Other things that have gotten people flagged:

Melons
Black people
Horses
Dogs
Mentioning children in any context. Want to make a Telltale games Walking Dead fanfic? Tough shit, pedo. (meanwhile the AI outputs child rape and murder on its own)

Also, the devs failed to notify users about a big leak of their data a little while ago, they've cut ties with their former community, are frequently monitoring private stories for "questionable" content and generally seem hellbent on pursuing an anti-fetish crusade. No one should be supporting these clowns.

Recently discovered thanks to this thread, played several times. Then saw the reddit warning and closed my account to not support the idiocy. It was fun while it lasted and a nice glimpse of future gaming (regular and adult).

As I see some teams already started developing a new alternative AI gaming engine. Hope they surpass AI dungeon in every way.

This needs an API. Then you create a character persona on their browser app. But, then from Ren'py code for your game, you can remote call the API from URL, and return dialogue for that character. Then use that to make your Ren'py characters feel alive. That would be great.

Yes,I didnt want to put it so bluntly but loli/shota,beast and anything non-consensual got the cut(or well, they attempt to anyway,4chan seems to have a field day gaming the system).

Was interesting to see how fast the subreddit went up in flames though.
Funnily enough, the whole thing seems to have happened on behest of Open-AI and not Latitude(a Mormon-based company from what I gathered?dont even know what to say to that...maybe its just a joke that went over my head).
Also another heads up,they seem to still store your created content even after account cancelation so...uh...yeah.
