I’m very new to this game, and this entire community in general.
I have a few noob questions, if someone can please answer for me.

What are character cards? I see them from sites like aicomi-uploader and yuki-portal. As far as I can tell, they just seem to be png files. Is that all they are? Some look like original characters and new clothes etc. Is there a way of getting that character and putting them in my game? Custom clothes and all?

Also, what is the tekito mod? it’s the first mod so far for this game? What does it do and where can I get it?

Sorry for the obvious card question, seems like all these types of games use them, but I’ve got no idea

One more question, if I update my game from the official website, do I need to install the uncensor mod again?

Yes, that's just it. You "install" said cards on "game root\UserData\chara\*insert character genre*", and they're ready to be used!

That being said, when you mention "new" clothes, these are problably either α) mods that add new clothes, that should be downloaded apart-creators usually do mention the usage of said and the whereabouts of downloads, or β) creatings using in-game assets to the point of making said look like new pieces of clothing-this is something that is usually used (mostly) on Koikatsu, with texture replacing and fine placement of "accesories".

Thanks for the answer! That’s pretty amazing, so the game codes in whatever data into the png and that magically becomes a character just by placing it into a folder…
But not the 3D model and textures required to use original clothes, makes sense.

In reality, the .png "card" saves everything, from data, appearance, to clothing sets. (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)

What (sometimes) might happen, is that you'll find some characters missing their clothes-that means said character (you downloaded) has modded set of clothes... But other than that, the cards often will and have clothes stored with their data! (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

Sorry if this was asked already, but I realised this game REALLY wants to use my VRAM a lot, even close to overheating my VRAM. And the game sure runs slow even my computer which should have good enough specs.

Is this a common thing for Illgames/illusion games? If so, have people found ways to avoid/fix this issue?

Tried out some cards, and got them in my roster! Unfortunately now when I start a new day, the game won’t load and freezes. I’m guessing my steam deck can’t handle a full roster? I only added 3 new characters

Yes, this is common and there's nothing you can do about it (except buying the most expensive top of the shelf gamer PC).

Maybe try HoneyCome Come Party, that's their most optimized game so far, although it totally lacks any kind of game play: it's just the selected girls randomly appear on the (very small) map. As you walk around, you can ask them for having sex (or if their stats are high, maybe for a threesome), and pretty much that's all to it.
But HC runs smoothly (compared to all the other ILL games), and it has huge selection of characards and scene pngs (also on db.bepis.moe, unlike AC).

There's also Summer Vacation! Scramble, which is somewhere between HC and AC: less optimized than HC, but better than AC, and at least offers some kind of game play (less than AC, more than HC). Community content also available on db.bepis.moe for SVS.

Try moving the .png files to the "convert" folder, then when you run the game it should automatically fix the cards and copy them into the "female/male" folder. This also skips the cards that would crash the game (hopefully).

It's just that this game in particular is causing a lot of VRAM related problems, but if there's nothing we can do about it, then so be it unfortunately. Not like this game was anything better than Illusion's Koikatsu anyway.

I’m surprised this game works on a steam deck. I get some crashes here and there, a bit of lag, but for the most part the game runs well.

Are there any links to the Pirate set, Halloween Set, Reindeer Set, or the pre-order bonus set? I was able to find the Reindeer set on the official site, but can't get it to work. I'm having a pretty rough time finding anything for this game, which kinda sucks, I think it's a lot better than Koikatsu, which is feeling pretty dated at this point.

They may have died (seriously) or just retired. Last I heard they were dealing with some major health issues, and then silence. They haven't posted anything in nearly a year now, and they have a patreon that's tied to regular posts and updates, so....yeah.....dude might be gone.

There are some other sets, like a tiger set and a mermaid set, but those were part of some pre-order bonus. Seems like no one has those. There might be some other sets I’m not aware of, but as far as I know, they’re not downloadable anywhere

Thanks, everything was in the latest HF patch except the pre-order bonus, appreciate it. I did dl the bonus from the op, but it's not appearing in-game. Is there something in-game that needs to be done for it to appear? Or maybe I put it in the wrong location/folder?

Alright this game is hopeless. I've only experienced a small bit of the game, because this game's optimization is honestly THE worst of all Illgames and Illusion games, because it became a Second Button to turn off your Computer.

I've mentioned it overheated my computer. I've legit put new Thermal Paste + Pads and the specs are also good enough to handle all games and even cleaned the WHOLE thing, dust free.

It was not enough... lmao. I even tried my backup laptop to see see if it has the same results, and it unfortunately does.

I even played AI Girl/AI Kanojo with like High settings + More character mods and that one ran good enough without destroying/turning off my computer. This game legit needs an emergency update.

I honestly wonder if there was ever someone that fixed this issue since people like ScewThisNoise is MIA.

I get what you mean. My character became an incel because the game crashes before any H-scene...
