Yeah, can't blame you for that, HC is really nothing more than a tech demo.

If I would have to make a guess, as being their very first IL2CPP based game, they've probably hired some Unity expert on that one, or at least they got a temporary counselor or something, that's why HC is technically superior to their other products. Either this, or the management was stupid enough to let the know-how dev go...

Yes. Every game after AA2 got worse and worse. They're games are pretty nothing more than asset packs at this point.

I wouldn't exactly say they got worse. It's just that they never really get better. Like every illusion game is pretty much a repack of the exact same character editor and sex simulator with the exact same dated sex animations and shitty UI design, that was already out of date 10 years ago.
The only real difference between titles is the gameplay, that has always been on the level of a 3$ asset flip on steam. Even AA2 mostly stands out because of mods, IMO.

You do not have to run the installer, you can just copy the content of setup directory to your main directory of game and replace files when prompted.

Run the registry fixer file in the game folder.

If that doesn't work you can just drag and drop the files in the updates setup folder directly into to game folders.

Changing coordinate type added in latest update does not seems to work for me, it acts like multi select and chnages nothing rather than changing coordinates. This, or I cannot figure out how to use it.

I don't think so. There's a very noticeable performance boost when doing study/sport/eating together compared to dialogue on any part of the map, I really doubt they use images/cubemaps on anything but the interactions I mentioned.
If you don't believe me then try running around the map for a bit and see which spots cause more lag and which cause less then interact with an NPC on each of those spots. You'll notice a performance boost on the spots with less lag and performance increase on the spots with more lag.

Also even if they can't really copy paste assets from Illusion they can still use the same principle to create something new. Kinda like copying someone's homework but changing a few things so it looks different.

A game can be marked as "completed" when a game is released in its full version as stated by the developer. Note that complete games might still receive patches and post-release content. Game uploading rules, section 3-3.
That seems to be the case here. Aicomi is not in early access, its full version was commercially released with no prerelease strings attached (no matter what quality I or the community rates it at), and it does receive patches and post-release content.

A "completed" game is not a "finished forever" game. There is no distinction between "released" and "done forever", because it's not always easy to estimate the latter, since not many developers share their update or DLC release schedule.

Same shit different toilet, getting tired of the same "moved to a town where I'm the only dude" where every interaction is the same. with the same animations from 10 years ago, the lacking customization options and so on. Just stick to koikatsu and move on, because every other game is the same

Personally what I value the most is NPC x NPC interaction, especially NPC x NPC conflicts, rivalries...

Tried AA2 and couldn't find it's charm, but well perhaps I lack the nostalgic feeling in a very old game.

Perhaps something very simple that they could add is to define some "Npc drives" in the sense of stuff that they want to achieve, it could be very useful in creating my own mess in a game and enjoying the aftermath.

For those who has FPS problems try this:
- Disable AA in game

- Set AA to max in your card setting 100% improvement ( well this is for Nvidia card ) not sure about AMD

do you have nvidia? I do and the game runs fine except for right at the first when it loads the map.. and that is only a small pause of like a half sec to 1 sec.. 16gb ram.. nvidia 4070

I have 4080 super and it ran like utter garbage. Turned off AA, depth of field, SSAO and then went down from 2160 to 1440 without seeing improvement. As soon as I turn towards the majority of the town it just chugs. Probably some weird issue. Oh well, probably not worth bothering with it.
