Oh new version! And it's bugfixes :KEK:
When was beach patch released again ? Last year i think and then it was not finished even and some an ending was delayed. Nonetheless that was last substantial content update and if i recall shota patch was to be released early next year .
You guys remember when patch would come out every 1-2 months ? Good old times.
Well it is what it is, i know the support didn't grow as they expected so they had to look for another solution - start working on another project. Still sucks that trust has no gameplay nor dialogue effect and is just there to taunt me.

Yup, the end of beach patch was around late January/mid February ( at least finished CGs have those dates, can't really remember when they got added into the game). They surely slowed down, if we count the scenes in every patch ( from 12+ to 8 scenes every 2 months). Let also say last scenes are longer and have more layers than the older ones ( take the last lifeguard scene, for example). I think the quality went up, to compensate a slower drawing process. Shota patch went from 20ish to 37 scenes as well.

They also had to slow down due to health issues, i can assure you that. More money will probably bring another artist in to help with the colouring part, since art is the bottle neck of the developing process. Having 2 games/projects doesn't slow things down that much, since there are 2 differents CG teams.

And yeah, i hope one day they will come back and finish everything they want to do in FI, but i guess that day is not something we will see soon.

For longest time the "we wait for art team" been the excuse for delays. But why any piece of new content needs to have a separate new art? For example why is it not possible to have some scenes with Dan while not being on Gracia route? Dan surely wouldn't mind casually banging Ayame. It would be easy to take some scenes from routes and make them into free roam scenes. It would make sense for Ayame to have sex with those characters once she is fallen without being on their route. All that it would require is writing.

Also trust system is purely writing / coding thing. There is no need for new art whatsoever. Starke wanted to make abrupt endings if player would allow to drop the trust to zero. The thing that doesn't need ending CG, really doesn't. Robert comes home shows on picture on a cellphone (can use here already existing art from relevant route) and tells Ayame to get out.
The trust system is not about ending or art even but giving player agency and connection to Ayames behavior. The money you make would have some use, maybe some gameplay loop and much needed "off rails" experience. This can all be done with text and sprites that already exist.
