Because they are strongly against re-using art. You'd be fine with those changes, they wouldn't. You have standards, they have different standards but they are making the game and you're just telling them how to make their game. Their trust system is there for a patch focused solely on Robert catching Ayame during sex scenes, it wasn't done because most of you like to talk a lot of shit but you don't put in any money so whatever you get is more than you can complain about. Feel free to support and then complain as a paying customer but until then you're just another "I'm gonna crack the whip and tell one of the most successful teams in the last decade how they should make their game" kids which come a dime a dozen.
You call "waiting on the CG team" an excuse but do you have any idea how much work making all the routes replayable while reverting all the switches, variables and other stuff that tracks your progress in the game from before you make any big decision was? They have have made countless quality of life and bug fix patches ever since February, the map overhaul, some scenes and dialogues were remade and drastically changed from older versions, the changes in the Chad scenes in the bunny route, the chat scene with Sato, and so on and so on but the guy that says "doesn't need art to make an impact" is the first one to talk shit and completely forget it because it has no new art! Oh, the irony.
Likewise, all the new overhauled and redrawn high quality busts with new booba that were presented to later on be added to the game once they were all completed which Starke stated (and showed) that more than half of all the busts in the game have already been re-drawn since they are not put in game you completely disregard all that work as if the CG team wasn't working that whole time. Do you realize the amount of unreleased scenes there is in the spoiler section? Probably not because it's for supporters so yes, the CG team is causing "the delay" which is not a delay, they're just working on the game, we can see their progress and as they have done for the last 8 or so years, as they have always done, they are going to deliver and every troll is going to go under the bridge for a while until it's time to complain about a new patch again.

I just find it funny how that topic is taboo in some threads where the mods shill for their dev friends but they completely turn a blind eye in other threads unless someone I don't know, God forbid, uses words like shit or fuck, then you might hurt someone's feelings because you said a swear word in a porn forum.
In case it isn't too apparent, the brunt of this post isn't directly aimed at you, just anyone with your general negative attitude.
Edit - I withdraw my previous statement about mods. Apparently if you use the report system often and you show someone is constanly being a dick they will get dealt with so that's nice.

The minor changes that you mention arn't good reason for me to replay the game. Fun fact - trust system wouldn't be a minor change. It would (hopefully) vastly overhaul the interactions with Robert and Ayame wouldn't return to empty house 90% of time. How much work it would require depends on how forthcoming they were when developing the game. I believe such system should start being implemented as early as possible and not left till the game is complete. If now they need to stretch the code that they spend 8 years making to fit that then no shit it will be difficult.But they don't have anyone but themselves to blame.
I'm a simple man - i expect dates to be kept. If you can't keep the promised release date i expect that you will come up and tell me why and when is the new expected release. If i need to ask why the delay is happening then I'm already suspicious. If you start changing / adding stuff to justify the delay but you never polled if it is ok to make such changes - I will accuse you of stalling. Do this multiple times - and I'm done with you.
Just my general policy not specifically aimed at this project.

See, it's fine to have your personal opinion on how a game should be made to your standards but when you try to shove it down people's throats as the end all be all opinion, that's when people have a problem with it and if the way to do it is negative as fuck much like yours is then I'm sure the vast majority of people here would rather you've kept it to yourself, or keep being an angsty sower bitter person, I'm not the one having an heart attack at the age of 30.

I don't know for certain but I believe the DLC's are free, at least I don't remember having to pay to be able to download their "Alansya Chronicles: Fleeting Iris IF" DLC which featured some "What If" endings.

Dude, you're complaining about a free dlc with 50+ HCGs being delayed. While they work on the next entry and a spinoff at the same time. While the base game is essentially finished and in stores.
But by all means, if the project isn't worth it, go get on dlsite and find me a game for less than 1500y, that isn't from a big studio (no euschelly, alicesoft etc) that has 50+ base cgs, and isn't from an established dev (they generally rehash their own stuff a lot, by using the old stuff as ref and sometimes borderline trace, see acerola/oneone1).
Besides, the output increased greatly over time, in both quantity and quality, in mid 2016 releases were on time but also nowhere near the scope and quality it is now.

Not really sure what the fuss is all about my dude, the team have worked like this for a long time.
- There are never release dates for any patch, Starke do this on purpose.
- All patreons know this, patches come out when they are ready, not a moment earlier.
- So if anybody don't like this approach, they are welcome to leave.

When checking I don't see a vote regarding "better quality busts or more scenes", but I will ask Starke to confirm this and update here. Good chance it's mentioned in one of the podcasts.
I can't understand why you are so held up with if there was a vote or not about adding more scenes to the game?
- If the developer wants to expand on his idea and improve his game, he can simply just do that.
- For Starke it's mostly about quality, and to deliver high quality scenes to the fans. Then its a bit about quantity after, and most fans typical want more and not less scenes. Which make this discussion really weird because you are whining about more content, a better and longer DLC, and yes that means more wait time but for a much better playing experience in the end.
Not to mention this DLC is free for everyone. So no need to be a patreon if you just want to play the DLC.
