Love your game! I'm a big fan of both generative ai and game dev. Do you have any advice on your workflow for making CG's? Like what model you use (a type of pony I'm guessing?), what settings you use to get the best results, how you keep the style so consistent (guessing its a combo of good prompting and a lora), do you generate the background and characters who are fucking separately and then clean up and combine or do it all in one go?
The model I use is called NTRMix which is based on Illustrious. I also do use a style lora but I think it's mostly the prompts that keep things mostly consistent.
I use a program called InvokeAI for all the generation, which has a lot of useful features for generating multiple characters.
I actually did a stream a while back where I went over most of my process. I can DM you a link to the recording if you like!

When I tried it was all text no images besides a few text boxes when I speak to characters, tried Chrome, Firefox and Brave browser, even tried deleting and unpacking again but it did not work.
If its meant to be just text until the hot scenes, im not interested.

Alright we're here with version 0.14! Thank you everyone for your patience.

Version 0.14

Big-ish update this time! I hope that at least somewhat makes up for how long it has taken. This is another fleshing out update. More scenes added for the creatures, more date stuff and a new method of getting mini-scenes. Plus a few other incidentals.

  • Content Updates
    • New scenes added for the Rockbiter, the Salamander and the Ghost Construct! Each uses multiple potions and the Rockbiter one also uses one of the new potions added in this update.
    • Also a new scene with Alo'Eth!
    • A few new date related images, including Philia getting her beach date.
    • You can now access the library's private collection! Sadly there's only one thing to find in there at the moment though.
    • Jessica has something new in stock: the Comprehension Potion! Made far away with ingredients Mina doesn't have access to, this little beauty will let you reveal the full recipe hidden away within any Journal page you might be having trouble with.
    • There's also new Stamina Potion variants. They're made with the same ingedients, just change out the catalyst. The Journal entry has been updated to reflect this possibility.
    • Speaking of items, all items now have an associated image.
    • I've added a few little incidental images that can pop up around the place. There are images associated with successful and failed alchemy attempts for instance. Images will now also show up when you click the "Mina's Home" and "Village" links on the main screen. Have a look at Mina's house after you've made a few Homuncuties and at different times of the day!
    • To go along with this I've tried to make links that open up a popup box more clear with a little icon
    • There's a new intro! It's not that much bigger, but I hope it gives a better idea of Mina's character.
  • Fixes and changes
    • Made it a little more clearer how to access Beach Dates, for the two girls that have them. I hope anyway.
    • New automation! You can now choose to automatically fill bottles after your first encounter with any given scenario, as in making potions or collecting fluids in the wild. You can also automatically dump goop after the first time you make some.
    • The other new option is the ability to drink stamina potions automatically once Mina's stamina gets low enough. This unlocks after the first time drinking any kind of stamina potion.
    • Changed how you set automated bottle purchasing. No more text field, instead there are buttons that will raise or lower the amount by 10 at a time.
    • Made some changes to the Cauldron screen. The main thing to note is that there's now an extra button on Quick Alchemy entries. This will bring up a given potions recipe, in case you want to check it for some reason.
    • Journal entries will now also show the full recipe at the bottom once you've discovered it (or used a Comprehension Potion on the page)
    • Made another attempt at overhauling the Homuncutie system in the backend. There's less loops going on now so hopefully it doesn't cause quite so much hang time.
    • Also overhauled the way skill bonus calculations work. You shouldn't really notice the change from the front end though.
    • I've made some more tweaks to the mobile UI. Most of it is minor changes, apart from you'll now have the Time/Gold/Stamina information showing up in the left hand side inventory list if you toggle it on.
    • Saves that were affected by the guild request bug from 0.13 should now have their gold reset to a reasonable amount.
And a minor patch for something I missed. Oops!

Version 0.14.1
  • Added the links to one of the potion experiments I missed. Oops!
  • Fixed the new Rockbiter repeatable not showing up properly in Memories

The code should work for a few versions ( at least Stamina, Gold, Time and Skills ) but if something its wrong just tell me know.

P.D. Due to the rework, the game its not completed yet so the "Gallery unlocker" unlocks everything but it says "does not exist" in some memories

Is it just me, or does everything load incredibly slowly, to the point that the browser throws out a Page Unresponsive alert. I always press Wait, and it'll eventually load, but oof.

I'm trying to make the Homunculus, but the game isn't giving me the option to use an Allure Potion for the liquid. Do I need to get something else done first?

EDIT: And then out of nowhere I see the option to add Greenthorn Bark to an Alluring Potion AFTER the Cauldron to make an Alluring Base

Yeah, I'm still having this problem. No option to add Greenthorn appearing at all. I've made dozens of unnecessary Allure Potions trying to get this to populate. I mean, I'm def gonna use 'em, but it's a bit annoying.

You can't automatically fill bottles. You have to make the potion, it gives you the option to add Greenthorn Bark, and THEN you bottle it.

Yeah, I might need to rethink how you make that with the autofill around. Feels un-intuitive

It's the cuties running in the background I'm pretty sure. I have a potential solution in mind but I need to try out implementing it to see if it actually works.

No content here apart from a couple incidental new images. What there is is a couple big overhauls! I highly recommend you update, especially if you've been having issues with the game being particularly laggy!
Version 0.14.5
  • New Cauldron screen! I think this one is a bit more interesting to look at, and is perhaps a bit more intuitive to use.
  • Major changes to how the Homuncuties work. No longer are there complicated computations going on in the background every time you do anything. Instead as in-game time advances the cuties "buildup" an amount of items, up to a limit that is indicated by the 'Collect from Homuncuties' button. All the calculations are done when you click the button. And it should be a LOT quicker thanks to some more efficient functions. The instructions page has been updated to reflect this.
  • The other big change to the Homuncuties is the process of creating them. I've taken out the whole unintuitive "make potion and then use certain item while potion is still in the cauldron" thing. Instead you'll now have to get a specialized catalyst, the same way you get the other catalysts, to make Alluring Base. Journal has been changed to reflect this. From there everything is the same.

Out of curiosity, what calculations were the Cuties doing before? Were you rolling whole combats or something?

When in-game time advanced a roll would be made for each cutie to determine what item they found and then a second roll to determine how much of said item they found. That would then be added to a hidden inventory that would get transferred to the player inventory upon pressing the collect button.
What was actually causing all the lag however was the inventory system library I'm using. It wasn't really designed for the things I'm doing, its pickup and drop functions not being very efficient. So with all the calls to moving items around it was generating a lot more loops than I realized in the background.

I really liked the new update narl, very excited for future content :) I've been trying to use the NTR Mix you use in your work but it's so hard to stylize it the way you do!!!

Love the game, would love if there would be a bit more images sprinkled in between walls of text in scenes

Huh. I'm kinda surprised the inventory isn't just an array of integers and strings. I assume the new inventory is closer to that.

Then again I've never made anything in HTML, so maybe I'm too used to slick IDEs and the features inherent to actual code languages.
