go to "game" folder of the old version copy the "saves" folder. go to new game folder and go to "game" folder put "saves" folder in here from old

no you copy the entire "saves" folder from the old version and paste it in the "game" folder of the new version
edit: do you have the old saves at your pc or do not have access to them?
