I was wondering if I should include two video formats into my next story? In this story I made two files for each video clip: mp4 and webm. Webm is significantly smaller. My next story will have much more videos, so it will grow quickly in size...

I know this thread is kind of old at this point, but it you really want to get serious about making a game, use RenPy. It is by far the best game engine and allows far more interesting features than HTML.
It is very popular now, and many players only search for RenPy games. It is also free to download so it will cost you nothing to try it out.

Yes, I know about RenPy and I also played a lot of VN's build with it. I event checked the SDK and played around with the default project. It has some nice features for sure. The thing is that I'm a web developer and I know technology behind Twine much better than python (although I know python too). It is much easier for me to develop the logic I need using javascript. And it also gives me an opportunity to improve my professional skills even more. So its a win-win situation.
Second point is that I'm not an artist. Currently I'm developing using either stolen porn or AI generated images. For this kind of art Twine is more than enough. I know that RenPy is better with implementing animation/video sequences, sound effects and such stuff, but this is not very relevant for me currently.
