Alexa seems to have 2 routes. One where you can get her to soften up and one where you keep her as she is.
It seems sometimes you need to challenge her ideas.

but I have two problems that she has a girlfriend and it wouldn't feel right
and I don't know if she's a main love interest I don't want to fall in love with a side girl if I can't end up with them

I do believe Diana is a main LI, all the LI's seem to have hearts next to the friendship meter. I don't think any of those are side girls.
I don't think Diana is in a relationship with the other girl, it seems more like fuckbuddy type thing.
I've also got a Diana save and it seems she really does like the MC and want something with him but i'm guessing something in her past is part of the reason she seems scared to commit to something serious. I think her route will change to a real relationship as things go on.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. It's more likely to go faster on a monitor that goes beyond 60hz. 60hz is the average set by Tom (the Renpy engine creator) that it functions on. I'm not an engine programmer or Python code expert, so it's difficult to get that working correctly on everything, as I'd have to dig into the source code. If you want it to work as intended, you'd have to put your monitor refresh to 60hz or below.

You're right that it's tied to the refresh rate. But if the animation is designed to be run at 60 fps, why not just have the timer be 1/60 of a second?
I set
$ combat_submission_timerspeed = 0.017 and now it runs correctly, irrespective of the refresh rate.EDIT: attached a quick fix for people with refresh rates > 60 Hz. Extract to
game folder.

I had the entirely wrong impression of Taylor before this update.
I thought she was just a sex crazed rock chick but damn did her story hit the feels. The backstory with her and her lil sis was adorable and I have a feeling that particular route is going to be a dropkick right in the feels.

Well this was a nice surprise, what a great AVN. I love stumbling across hidden gems like this.
I love Natasha already and I don't normally go for the muscle mommy thing. I just think that she is beautiful and really sweet.
