If by "too tender souls" you're referring to players, that would be the reason. There were players who hated it, thus the change.

How do we as the player know when we have completed all current content through v14.1b?
Because I am stuck in the current time (with no directions to do anything but talk to the gypsy-fortune teller and this does not trigger any new directions for or content), with no way to travel back in time.

I just did '>>' so next moment in time / progress time ??? , did it for 2 weeks, never saw an ! or LEWD sign blinking (in the lower right). That would be a sign that there isn't anything to be done anymore...
But yeh, I already wrote, that I'm missing something like a hint option, show me what is still open. Something like Paradise Lust has or so.
Maybe in the future, I'm not sure if FILF has such a system. I can't remember 'the artifact' having such a system...

14.1b lets you finish the event in the pond, but if you don't have a save from before it "ended" in the previous update, you have to replay the full even that got you there, so either start from a save before jumping off the dock or go to bed to restart it.
