Damn, a nice update. Finally, sex with Summer in S2. For the people who are using the walkthrough mod to watch all the scenes in S1, don't transfer that save to S2. The default choice may vary from what you want. For example: In S1, I used the mod and spent time at the beach with both Samara and Roselind. But using the mod defaults to Samara as your choice, and you might miss out on Roselind’s content in S2. (I dont think she kisses you when you come back and I think you will miss the date with her).

I like Roselind more than Samara so had to replay S1

I wish other games cut scenes worked like this game. It shows a few motions then changes on it's own to the next scenes. I hate when the actions or cut scenes just keep repeating and you have to click frame by frame.

I REALLY wish this game had more animated scenes where they should be. How did it go from picture 1 to pictures 2 and 3. I missed the actions. The Dev really needs to fix this BIG TIME. It takes the joy out of the game without the animations where they are supposed to be.

Sounds like you are skipping transitions. Check the settings:

If the "Transitions" is active, you are skipping them resulting into exactly what you have been seeing.

With skipping transitions disabled (that is its default state) you'd see images like this between the two images you posted:

No idea what mods you are using. Try removing mods and test what (mod or combination of mods) causes transitions to be skipped. And then contact mod dev(s) so they can fix their mod.

I'm using the vanilla AE 1.9.1 (that's 1.9.0 + the bugfix) and 2.5.0.

No idea. I haven't looked at that mod after 1.9.0. Back then it produced saves that were still using original episode code so that our remodeled first 7 episodes weren't in that mod. I had to write an integrity check into S2 to make sure that saves had everything we might need from S1 in S2 aka all choices having proper values.

Ask the mod developer if you have issues that don't appear in the vanilla game.

Edit: Modding is something that the original developer/manufacturer can't know about. If you have a car and you install any aftermarket part to it, you can't complain to the car maker that your car is now broken if the aftermarket part isn't compatible with it or the mechanic broke something when installing the part.

Edit2: Personally I don't get why some people want/need a walkthrough mod to force all content in the same playthrough and then the game isn't the same as the creator meant it to be. Imagine you rewriting pages in Stephen King's "IT" if you didn't like something in the book. You actually only need 2 playthrough saves to see all content (or most if you don't visit all other flavour choices when you are at the choice menu) in the VN.

I know. If I happened to be using LaikDink's wt mod that JGNeon took over for AE 2.x, I might ask JGNeon if they could fix an issue in the S1 mod if it was skipping transitions (aka Renpy's way do "animations" from separate images connected by timed effects).

But, if the mod was causing Woodstock_1983's issues of skipping transitions, we would have seen a lot more similar complaints years ago when LaikDink still was active. So we actually don't know yet if the wt mod is causing skipping issues or not.

I personally don't care because I'm a part of MrK's dev team. If a mod has issues, the dev of the mod has to deal with them. If they can't deal the issue by themselves, they can ask if MrK can/wants to help them. But, it's not my job to make sure that all mods are working. Just like BMW or Honda can't tell anyone customizing their car or motorcycle what the customer has to do. The customer has bought the vehicle and only they will choose what they want to do with it and it will be their problem to deal with.

I only can try to help Woodstock with his issue if it appears in the vanilla game. And then, it would be great if he joined MrK's Discord and asked for help there.
