The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is v0.06...
This is a parody visual novel/game based off of the show Danny Phantom... It is another VN/game with the over used Family Sex stuff, again...
The visuals are 2D hand drawn, and look spot on... It is obvious that it is poking fun at the show it's a parody of... The backdrops fit the story well, and are drawn very good... There are some animations as well, not super smooth, but animations none the less... The blinking of each character when they speak can appear odd sometimes, especially when the characters blink into existence during a scene and then blink right away to speak... Looks odd when that happens...
The script is pretty good as I didn't run into hardly any spelling/grammar errors... The plot revolves around a male protagonist who gains ghost powers and the ability to become a ghost... The premise is that the protagonist must gain experience with his abilities in order to combat ghosts and become more powerful... During this time he still needs to go to school, socialize with his friends, deal with bullies, peep in on characters doing sexual things, perhaps work for money, and the list goes on... There is a turn based combat system for combating ghosts, which is alright, as you just need to get used to it...
The days are broken up into 3 segments, even though there is nothing on the UI to really tell you what segment you are in... Only certain activities can be performed during certain parts of the day... To determine if you've seen all the content, open up his computer at home, and select Amity Park to see if all the picture spots are filled in... If they are, then you've seen all there is to see of the events, so no real reason to keep playing... Most of the mechanics are in place, and there does appear to be a quest system, but could not figure out how to see a quest list (only 1 quest exists in this content)...
Overall, this VN/game is not too bad, as it's easy enough to figure out how the game operates from it's current content... The erotic/sexual scenes do come on very rapidly near the end, which was a little disconcerting... Mostly because since this game is still early into it's production, having that much erotica clumped together in a short period of time, may mean this VN/game will become more of a porn show... It seemed rather balanced with story and erotica up to that point... Have to wait and see if it just become nothing but sex scenes from this point forward, or if it will go back to a more balanced aproach...
The description claims it is a visual novel/dating sim, but thus far I've seen nothing to show any dating sim features (beyond the social status panel), and the visual novel stuff sort of ended after capturing a ghost boss, and it went more porn showy after that... Guess we'll need to wait and see how further development goes... Will I revisit this one? Yeah, I can see checking back on this one, as it does show promise... I just hope it stays balanced with the story and erotica, and I'ld like to see more of the dating sim feature the description claims for this VN/game...
