We set a steady deadline for ourselves by trapping our wonderful character artist, Psymind, in the Stray Dream Games’ basement. He gets all the Chicken in a Biskit he can eat, and he gets 2 cups of water for every character he finishes!

The art really does scream "teenage goth girl", lovely work there! But she does seem aged up, I suppose the story is set in the future and the cast are older?

Senior year at Casper High, yessir. And the Alternate Dimension/Timeline that the game will interact with will have an additional 10+ years for the characters that pop up.

Good luck to MorahBieno, lostraven and other members of the new studio! Amity Park was quite dear to me and it's good to see it won't be forgotten.
Now, I hope the follow-up game will keep some of the great qualities of AP: quest-based advancement (no grinding pls), gorgeous girls, great dialogue/story and fluid animations! Although I'd like to make the quest tracker as intuitive as possible - and/or even highlight the next step to advance the story on the map.
I read you guys want to make some stuff as optional as possible. That's great! I'm one of the few ones that have 0 interest in Maddie, so skipping scenes with her will be great. Give me Desiree and Paulina (would Kate show up in the new game or is she GZone's property?)!
Finally, the character adulting is an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING idea. I'm a bit older now and sincerely can't stand childish-looking characters anymore. An 18 yo should look like an 18 yo! It also enhances the sexyness of the character (the Sam on SubcribeStar looks great).
Will the team keep posting updates here or will be there another thread for the upcoming game?

Nurse Kate Astray is an OC character pertaining to 1) Being the Casper High school nurse and 2) Being Star's Mom.
I don't think GZone has the ownership of Star's mother or a school nurse. Her base design/outfit, and her name are definitely his though, and maybe even her backstory as an exotic dancer
So we've chosen to introduce a brand new *original* character by the name of... Connie Spears! She will be Star Spear's mother and the school nurse!
We'll absolutely keep posting links to the SubscribeStar posts here until we get a launch build, then post on both for a period of time during the transition period, and then we'll switch over to Dark Dimensions' f95 page full time.

I was wondering when you'd tease a pic of one of my favorite goths, also a seperate thread should be made for this game. I know it's a "spiritual successor" but I feel like it deserves its own thread here on f95 since its not really AP. Overall the game's looking mighty fine.

I don't mind if somebody can let us make a discussion thread, something like "Dark Dimensions: A Spiritual Successor - Pre-Production discussion" or something. We just want to own and hold control of the actual DD game page and only create that when we *have* a proper build.
I like Maddie, but I do hope they even things out more instead of focusing most of their attention on one or two characters. Maddie and Desiree got TONS of content while everyone else got barely anything. Paulina and Star were lusting for Danny since day 1, and Paulina is supposed to be Danny's childhood crush, yet she got barely any content. Just didn't make sense.

I wouldn't say Paulina has barely any content - she got 3 scenes. Now, the dragon princess was just an enemy and I don't remember the biker girl even having any weight in the story.
But yeah, Danny should spread his love among as many girls as possible and in similar quantities!
Maddie probably got more content because she was Patreon/subscribestar's favorite so she got priority. I suppose it's inevitable when you are beholden to people paying you, though I would hope it was only putting content that were planned first (and bonus content customers paid for I suppose) rather than customers having control of what the content of the game would be. As in, the creators still have their vision of the game should be, just that some of the vision got realized first before others.

This new game is looking good the more we learn about it, the more super excited!!
Just a little thing, it would be very VERY GOOD if we could play all content in one playthrough. I mean it would be much better not to choose a girl when we want obviously all of them.

3 scenes isn't a lot, and 2 of them are optional. And all of Star's scenes are optional, forcing me to betray Sam (my favorite girl) just to get some content with her. And if you choose to bring Paulina, or Sam, or anyone to the dance instead of Desiree, you miss out on being able to dress Desiree in different outfits making Desiree the clear choice in that scenario. And then I feel obligated to choose Paulina for the next choice just to finally get some action with her, Danny's supposed childhood crush. These girls should have had main quest scenes LONG ago. Logically, Paulina and Star should have been the first girls based on the story.
I don't mind waiting for a girl to get content if it makes sense for the story. Jazz is also one of my favorites, but she's Danny's sister so it makes sense for her to take longer. Sam and Jazz are my two favorites. I'm also happy with the amount of Sam content in the game even if it's not as much as Maddie or Desiree because again, it kind of makes for Danny to progress slower with her. And I liked the way it was proceeding. But Paulina and Star were basically begging to fuck the "ghost boy" from the beginning and he just waits ages for no reason. One of the things I liked about this game was that the writing and the characters were better than average for a porn game, but in this instance it just didn't make any sense. Danny is hopelessly in love with Paulina, he should have been jumping at the chance to get with her right away.

Ah, I see and I agree! As lordtoto said, the less need to play again to see all the scenes, the better. Paulina and Star certainly deserve more scenes (and a good humbling to the latter)

Star will actually be the "nicer" one of the two in the new game. Star kind of got flanderized into being a bitch because she was Popular, but Paulina is technically the much more shallow one. Paulina of the two, I think, will have a closer bit of characterization to the show, and Star, who was nicer in the show in some regard, will be played as such. Star we can also play as being slightly dumb, but good intended at times.
