Damn, Star. With that much volume in your hair it's a wonder you're not up among your namesakes, hanging from the fluff.

so version 0.9.5 is the real final?

Since the original artist is not related to this project anymore and the only reason these games work is because of the art.

Nah, I need to type this shit since its so funny to me

So I a humble pirate F95zone Observer, declared on Jan 11, 2024 (Yes, pretentious and I just searched when I said that :whistle:) that this game was dead because of the artwork change that many hated and was possibly AI, and the spare update schedule with few thing to show or the artwork being the only thing to show and forgot completely about this game. Sad since I even though of donating to it


Then in a random game I see that there is a signature of a Maddie with the words spiritual successor, I just though this was a game to take over the non-AI Danny Phantom porn market, but it made me look at what happened to this game. I should've stayed two more months because the drama that happened afterwards is so entertaining, I have only read till april and the last two pages, but it has everything:
  • the dev disappearing for so long that there was a mutiny on the team, they are the ones doing the spiritual successor thing
  • the dev coming back, not paying the team and now using even more AI but still keeping the same shitty update schedule
  • the team basically overtaking this forum since the dev only talks through discord and Patreon since they know so many people are disappointed here (and a lot of them are ex-patreons)
  • the dev did a new artstyle change and they look better(?) since a lot of people like it, also fraternal incest to pair with the filial incest that's nice.
  • a lot of people waiting till December for the successor to see whats what
I've been laughing for a while reading, just like in the old days of forums, who knows what the admins erased in between but what they left is still nice. Might continue later to at least get up to date but at least it gave me enough fucks to write this autistic wall of text so that's something.

Also consider me one of the people observing at the successor

PS: it was funny seeing all the people reacting angrily to my post and then the mutiny happened, felt back in 06-09 for a sec.

Edit: Finally read the whole thing, pretty much that's the whole story. Im on the side of the successor art still not convincing me but maybe the story might sell it completely

Poor desire looks like shes pushing 40 lol, those breasts really give you that vibe... others not doing great either like big oof

Artist seems to be having trouble with proportions... Like art is not bad -;faces are alright ( the brunette kinda wonky but ok...) , yet the arms and legs are way too long giving an uncanny vibe

Definitely like the original art more tho ... Characters have some spirit to them - facial expressions or even how they stand, every character unique in a way that I don't see it happen with these designs?

Like cookie cuter boring... Same proportions on everyone, bland facial expressions that scream clueless and complete lack of silly little touches that give you a deeper feeling for the character ( Star's smirk for example - she's just standing there all stiff like.. But because she's smirking that's gonna change our perception of the character? Xd )

Copy pasting expressions on them is not the way... Like original art for this game is insane, idk who's the author but they really nailed it :p

Gzone made the decision to spend more time on another game instead of AP, while AP was and has generated more money. In doing so, he delayed multiple updates for AP (while promising updates) yet made the choice to spend more time on the other game. During this he constantly teased updates on his discord which required people to purchase a higher level on patreon to view said updates. This wouldn't have been so bad if he actually didn't disappear when the date of the promised updates approached and the content was more than a few recolored pictures. He still has not refunded multiple people. I still have not been refunded for being a subscriber of over 4 years for half ass content / content which was never delivered.

During one of the last updates, it was heavily pushed that "new content" was added to the game. It was found relatively quickly that scenes were actually removed from the game.

In the best example of Gzone's incompetence: he bailed on his customers, subscribers (literally the people who paid him for update/updates) and worst of all his own team / coworkers without a word. Their was a half-ass excuse about a power outage in Europe causing the problem, while at the exact same time he was on his discord pandering for subs. As weeks went by and the update came and went, Gzone decided it would be a good idea to tease an update for the other game. Within minutes of receiving backlash for being the scumbag that he is, he posted a half-ass apology regarding AP.

During this entire fiasco, Gzone never stopped pushing for more subscribers / funding / $$. He was constantly posting about looking for a replacement artist to work for free (interestingly, the last artist left because they were not paid). It's been said he has also not paid some of his former team which (among other reasons) led to their departure and the forming of a new team and game.

In short, Gzone is a piece of shit scammer who has done the following:
Lacks the ability to manage a project / game, let alone attempting to manage more than 1. Refused to listen to people who have experience doing so.
Lacks the ability to converse with coworkers and customers / prospective customers.
Stole from coworkers / teammates and customers.
Refused to refund money he stole.
Removes content from a game while declaring more content has been added to the game.
Refused to pay artists while looking for more artists to work, for free.
Constantly pushes for people to purchase a higher level of his patreon, in his discord for what is essentially a recoloring of old content. Said content is generally in the form of 1 - 4 pictures.
Allowed an excuse for his disappearance to be given of a power outage; while subscribers who live in the same area as he did not have a power outage (for over 3 months) yet at the exact same time he continued teasing updates to his other game as well as shilling for more subs on his discord.

Definitely gives a different vibe to the whole situation lol

Yeah no, I just keep up on his page on occasion and post what I can gather from there. So I'm working on a different game with a new team, have nothing more than a previous credit for this game.

This is all still GZone, the original artist of the original art you like, he’s just improved his art quality, but is applying it to a less, in my opinion, charming art style. I think they’re better looking models, but I also thought they just lack that certain degree of aura that made them all look differential from one another.

Sad.... I bet he improved his drawing skills but he's killing the game with such drastic overhaul

Like even the people that waited for years to see this game get update are probably going to leave once their favorite characters are reworked into something they don't like xd

He could've fixed sone of the uglier characters instead... (Like non important side characters, and a whole do-over for the orange haired chick). Instead he's remaking the main characters that we all really liked :p

Why would anyone do this ... unless he's buying time to come up with more of the story?
