That may sound like a joke, but it happened with rogue-like by Oni, once its direct competition came out with a similar theme and story but with more attractive mechanics, updates became more frequent.

I remember this game used to be everywhere (even YouTube oddly enough) and then just vanished. Completely forgot it existed until someone mentioned it due to that "Dark Dimension" adult Danny Phantom game thread that popped up recently. Kind of disappointed there seems to be no real update in awhile. A shame really, I actually wanted to try it out for the first time :(

The game developer was also absent for a long time, it's been barely a year since he came back. What's very funny is that he also came back very shortly after the announcement of Dark Dimensions. :KEK:

I urged customers/subscribers to sign up for another website to see the "new content" before it was added to Amity Park, I charged a fee for this. I'm so lazy that I couldn't even finish the "new content" for Amity Park to the point where when the characters stop talking their mouths are still moving. I made the choice not to hire any artists and switch to AI prior to patreon issues. This caused a delay to Amity Park.

Of the many, many subs I have taken in over the years for Amity Park, I have refunded nowhere near as much as I should have. I pulled a bait and switch, promising one thing and not delivering while not refunding subs.

I'm so out of touch with reality that upon one of the last updates for Breeding Farm, I pandered for more subscribers. It took me upwards of 30 minutes (and only then due to messages I saw) that to save face I made a half-ass apology regarding the lack of updates for Amity Park. The half-ass apology was only made because I realized that people know the jig is up.

I'm a douchebag, idiot, conman, piece of shit. Thank you for continuing to subscribe to the ship of ineptness of which I'm captain. Their might be an update for AP days/weeks/months from now when I realize the cashcow I created and fucked up is running low."

Tldr: Incompetent dev found a niche which had the possibility of generating thousands of dollars multiple times over. Dev is so clueless that at every opportunity to make things right he chose to constantly fuck over himself, his team and former artists. Dev did not and does not comprehend that working on the more popular game (the game for which he has received more money) instead of the other game, generates more interest which generates more subscribers which in turn generates more money.

i go away for a while and come back to this? What the hell happen? Also way this is the dev that made breeding farms? If i remember correctly, want that the fdurry porn game that was making like 10k a month and then fell apart into a massive shit shoe?

No, that was a different dev pretty sure.

Also it's basically typical hubris. Man made the decision that made the most sense for him without consulting anyone else and expected them to just go along with it. They didn't. Surprised pikachu faces were deployed.

The whole Cloud Meadows breeding farms thing was a whole other issue (and AFAICT hasn't really made significant progress for literally years)

Guess we'll get an update whenever the other project gets close since its been almost a year here. Though I would have expected the other to have something out by now as well.

It may be a good idea for you to change the above to: "gzone is a scammer." If anything, his former team have gone above and beyond by keeping communication open with subscribers / customers in this thread and other places; they did not have to do that. Since their is no board of oversight in this type of thing to fix the issues that gzone has created and allowed to fester, all we can do is hope is that he is not ever allowed near a game or anything of the sort again and that his former team does a very good job with their game.

I would be joking if If I said I am not surprised.
If this was a drinking game, and people (of age) took shots each time gzone fumbled or disappeared, a good amount of people would have been blackout drunk quite some time ago.
