Yeah, publishing a uncensored version once it's done would be a very good way to go around Patreon censorship.

This would, of course, be possible at the end of the game's run, but the only issue is... best case scenario, at our current rate, the game COULD be done in... like 5 years. It's only the two of us working on this game at the moment, and I've only been working on it for just around 5 months or so now, even less time having learned the posing and portrait work. Until then, someone else would have to be putting out a Patreon patch, WHICH, BTW, we do not condone or suggest any of you do. We as a group are not funding, devoting our time, or encouraging anyone to bypass Patreon's guidelines.
Does a super-hamfisted dialogue at the start of the game regarding how you were adopted and aren't related to your family work for Patreon

Honestly, Patreon isn't far from just banning everything porn related at this point so i doubt it would work and they'd probably consider 'adoption' stuff to still be incest, it's not for nothing that most game had to change from 'mom, sis and son' to 'landlady and tenants' and dumb stuff like that.

You CAN defeat Desiree without cheats but it takes foreknowledge of her attack pattern and you have to be lucky enough so that she only uses her ghost ray once at most. In other words, the fight is a total cheat.
Only use Punch to attack. Use Block when she goes invisible. If she charges up her purple ghost ray, you can use Invisibility but only once. If she uses it a second time, you're almost definitely toast. Wait until her HP is <= 240, then hit her twice with your ghost ray and she's done.

Hey, just wanted to say I'm really enjoying this game so far! I rewatched this series recently and loved it all over again so this game is a dream come true

I know people are too easily impressed with side-characters like Desiree but it would just be too sad if development of the progression of the main characters was delayed or slowed because of that. I would much rather see significant progression with Sam, Jazz, Mom, and Paulina before anything with side-candy like Desiree.

We're not doing an adopted route, Jack will still be Jack's father, and Maddie will not be considered Danny's mother in any regard. We're trying to make it so it doesn't sound like "Okay, we just put a [new_title] insert in place of thing's like [mom], [sis], [brother] and the like. We don't want it to be a poor and simple plug in job.

We based off what we've wanted to do with characters like the main gals based on two things, 1) What are we comfortable jumping to immediately, and 2) What are people voting for in the polls? Desiree's been a favorite, but the update we have planned afterwards will be a strict Maddie one, which will make our focus a lot easier to write it all out. It'll be very much focused on her relationship with her son and her repressed feelings for the supernatural she experimented with in college. We just had to figure out how to properly progress and figure out how we wanted to tell that story. We think we've got a good compromise.

It is refreshing to hear a developer confirming their dedication to their development track. Far too many are tyrannized by their supporter polls rather than considering them as only guidelines or suggestions. Sticking mostly to your development track keeps your game from being glutted with novelty side-characters preferred by most polls. It might be popular but it's lousy game development.

I mean, the same could be said in the reversal as well. When we were asking what we should for Ep 4, we didn't provide Maddie as an option, because we felt it was still too early. We don't wanna jump down the throats of our own game and just smash it all in to try and make it work. Things need to have buildup, development and appropriate pacing. Maddie is a fan favorite and we're excited to start releasing all the content we have already made up of her in terms of sketches and animations. Thanks for your support!
