I wanted to take a screenshot and accidentally hit "d" on the keyboard. The sript was reloaded and as soon as the fight was begin to start an error message accured. I hit "ignore" and after that the fight was immediately registered as "won". Don´t know if this is a bug or due to the fact how Ren´Py engine works though
It's repeating scenes I already completed before the new update. I thought I already defeated Ember, and it's making me beat her again, while also removing all my power, and now she's unbeatable. What happened?
It doesn't really tell you how much damage your attack will make.
It is just trial and error, with random numbers appearing.
There is no strategy, no pattern in the enemies attacks.
If you don't choose the right special attacks you won't pass the first boss.
took spreading damage, big mistake!
I got like 12 venom debuffs after 3 rounds or so. No chance to win.
I appreciate that you guys try to make something different , but if it is not implemented right it just hinders the fun someone has with the game
Nice work on the game. Des & Nurse Kate route were wholesome, sexy and great.
I enjoyed the other route too, didn't enjoy their personality but that an issue with the source material than your work.
Combat will need to be reworked,
We need information on how much damage each attack does before we click it.
Regeneration needs an icon so we know if the enemy is gonna regen some health.
Maybe a grinding/training area for exp?
Overall, slightly annoying but bearable. Enough trial and error and you can win the battle.
Just for Episode 7, you don't need to win every fight if you don't want to. For the redux, it'll be the same for every existing episode, we just wanted to try it this way. I'm sure there will be a "skip fight" feature, either through a lack points gained or as a cheat code provided. Something.
The current fighting system will be changed, and I'm sure Epadder has planned for changes in the combat system, given this update's rampant feedback on it.
In my opinion the only problem with the combat system is its the kind of turn based combat that relies on the player being able to grind for XP, and the only XP in this game comes from winning story fights that may or may not be balanced to be beatable on any upgrade path, forcing the player to reload to before they put in the points and try out which upgrades are the correct ones to actually beat them, instead of just grinding.

Once the game is remade in the Redux, the new combat/upgrade system will be implemented throughout the whole game, along with random battles available, especially if you go looking for them at night.

The last time I played was the Maddie update many months ago, I could have started from the new episodes but the comments about the new fight system caught my attention so I restarted the entire game and everything was the same so I thought... why are they complaining? then episode 7 started and somehow the devs mention how people complained before about the difficulty and the truth is that, just as I wrote many months ago, the only thing you had to do was spend all your points on strength, that's all you needed! well... now the system is more complex but also annoying, I used to defeat all the bosses in two/three turns but not anymore, I guess I will have to get used to it.
I don't know if this will be the same for others, but it seems the Cobra usually inflicts the Toxin DoT on it's every third turn. I went intangible on every third turn and was able to win rather easily after figuring out that pattern.
