Both modded and unmodded savegames from the legacy version won't work with the new game. It's a different game.
Try loading a savegame from Prince of Persia into Halo.

Bibifoc Hi, does the edit relationship function in settings disappear when applying your incest patch? Or does it pop up later in the game anyway? I'm still early in the game. Currently not seeing the edit relationship function, was wondering if its due to the patch. If its due to the patch, can I delete the patch whenever if I want to change something, or will it mess up the game if I delete it. thanks and cheers.

Yes, the patch hides the relationship screen.
Because it makes the game read the relationships hardcoded in the patch. So the data from the screen are useless in this case.
The patch doesn't modify/delete data from the relationships screen.
If you remove the patch, you'll find the relationships screen data exactly as it was before the patch was applied.
It seems (almost) impossible to play the game without Hints activated ...
I tried but failed to find the events progressing the story since those events are not shown in the calendar. You have to know e.g. when to be in the basement to progress with Alexandra.
It would be better if those events would be marked in calendar, too. Otherwise the story events and daily events may get out-of-sync and mc and the girls may treat each other differently depending on type of event, eg friendly in daily events but still reserved/hostile in story events.
So, I put my money where my mouth is and made an ipatch that does more than just fill in the default relationships for the ladies. The stepcest content has been fixed back to them actually being biologically related. I didn't change the story too much, though I did have to make a slight adjustment. The MC is now the youngest sibling. Personally I think this works better. Kate and the MCs relationship works better where the oldest sister took care of her baby brother which led to them being super close and the "forgotten" middle child (Elena) feels resentful and acts out to get attention.
This mod should be future proof unless the dev adds in a new family member. You might want to go to "Change Relationships" on the settings menu and hit "Default" to get it to work. Download here and extract to your game folder.
