This bug has persisted since the old version of the game, before the remaster. Perhaps one day the developer will have time to fix this bug, but for now I can only say that you have not lost anything - there is only empty chatter that does not affect the development of the plot. If you are interested, you can post screenshots with Russian lines, I will translate them willingly, but believe me, the result does not deserve the effort of creating and uploading these screenshots.

If the last time you tried to play this game was a couple of years ago, then in this case there is nothing surprising here. The game has been radically redesigned. Judging by your words, that the game has changed a lot, you have played the old version before. As for saves of the the new version (REMASTER), they are fully compatible with each other.
