I installed ren'py 8.4.1 and started the PC version of the game with it and the saves seems to be working just fine. Not sure if the problem is in the mac version or maybe different ren'py version.

If you're a 'long time' Amnesia player, then don't bother with the update...really nothing too much added except a couple of scenes. Still lots of potential here, and worth playing from the start if you've never experienced it, but I think we've well & truly reached the 'taking the piss' stage with this game.

The image folders are close to 28k files ... that's a lot for a short game.
(For comparison : BB back then had only ca 2k files and less than 2 GB.)

This is better than the old version. While I'll never be a fan of sandboxes I like how no WT is required now, before it was all over the place.
