Might unironically be the worst sandbox I've ever seen. Sandbox is already shit but then you have a sandbox with no guide on where to go, no name for the rooms so I don't even know where I'm going or supposed to go, no character icons to showcase where characters are at... like????

So...since there are no other options the update ends when they are getting the cart ready to into town, or did I miss something? If that's the case there is no idication the udpate is done. It's too bad, this game has potential. Sad to say, between adding an annoying/uselss sandbox and the handful of obvious errors, I've got a feeling this game might not make it to the end.
I swear I played this before and it wasn't sandbox. Idk why you chose to downgrade, dev. Also, maybe I'm misremembering, but feels like the grammar and spelling are worse. Makes sense my saves don't exist anymore, but there should be a note for that on the main page.

I could just click around to different locations and LITERALLY NOTHING would happen, and 2 locations were just black screens. I even clicked around, on every door, bed, etc. Nothing.

Well, this should've never been released, even to the beta testers. The sandbox is annoying and unnecessary, it doesn't add anything other than having to do additional clicks to start the next scene. It's simply just a waste of time for the player and for the dev implementing something , that will never serve a real purpose. And the version has even less content than the previous one, and that had already barely any content. In addition to that, literally at the first choice there is still only the option to go by sea, the land option hasn't been implemented since the very first release. If this is everything after being in development for 2 years now, then it's for certain, that this will never see the completed but instead the abandoned tag.

I hate sandbox games for the most part it's just lazy writing but this sandbox is broken as fuck.
That is the real issue. You shouldn't have to click the same location a hundred times for a scene to trigger.
Don't know if its a feature or whatever but i've found i have better luck getting the scenes by pressing the red diamond before going to the scene location.
First of all, a game that's more than 2 years in is not "early in it's development" there has been at least 2 updates where the dev remade the game. Now concerning the sandbox issue, they have never been a dealbreaker for me (The sandbox in Desert Stalker is an example of sandbox done right) until I played this game. Why? You have no objectives list, moving between the rooms make no fucking sense, and you need to click the red button in order to proceed with the game. Now let me ask you a question, what benefit does having a sand box do for this game?

Navigation system is poor it is a bad call to add.
You don't add the likeliness of people playing for longer. You add the likeliness of people to give up & delete it.
More inuitive yet the esclamation which presumably has to be clicked on doesn't yield starting of events. So it is functionally useless.
Sorry to be harsh here but there is no reason for its presence. A story with options is better then having the situation that exists now.

Agreed, Why turn something interesting into what I've come to call a "shitbox"? Tell your story. If I wanted to grind or get messed around I'd be playing Call of Douche. You were doing so well.
