Really like it. Twisted fun. But I HATE not being able to name the mc.
While Angel Tower is being redesigned with new character models and locations we would like to address our oversight. We did not preface our release with descriptions of the content that would be included, and the result was that some players have voiced their concern that the story may explore fetishes and character motivations that they are uncomfortable with. On Itch & Patreon, as well as the upcoming release to SubscribeStar, our pages have been modified to include warning of content. Below is the same statement that was made to those platforms.
At Scrambled Channel Games we want to produce content that players will enjoy for both the visual art and the story they tell. Our games are designed to be episodic and explore the intimate relations of all major characters. While we expect the organic reveal of passions and fetishes to be a necessary part of the drama, we must appreciate that some audience members will want warning before they become invested in the story.
With our work we intend to treat the antagonist as a character independent of the player's control. Their motives, decisions, and actions are independent from your own. Interactions with all characters through choices and dialogue may shape their opinions of you. This opinion of how the player behaves will have subtle changes on the gameplay and emerging story. However, the world does not belong to the player and the many other characters all have their own lives to enjoy. We are all doing the best we can, day by day, with the best decisions that we can make in the moment. Our characters, and their stories, will be no different.
Angel Tower will explore a world of wealth and power where many characters consent to become sex workers. As a noir thriller the story will explore their backstories and motivations which may be dark, graphic, or tragic. The mystery of who runs the tower and who vies for control will have unexpected twists. We would like to caution that some characters may disappear or die during the course of the game, and we do not ever wish to glorify that violence. This is a tale of erotic intrigue, control, and gamesmanship.

Will we be able to name the main character we actually control? The rest sounds dark and unique so I'm still interested. Just a personally pet peeve controlling a character with someone else's name...
Yes. We're going to work on correcting that in the scripts for future releases.

I wish you luck, dark and gritty is a hard sell, but I truly enjoy the variety and a lot of the kink you want to do. I'm pulling for you guys seriously best of luck.
Thanks for addressing this. There's a certain crowd that feels every game needs to conform to their interests, and like to harass devs for not doing so. Just know that they are not a majority but just vocal and angry and always want to be heard. If you choose to cater to those types you risk alienating the rest of people who are interested in unique storytelling and diverse types of work. So keep going with what the story you want to tell and those who like that sort of storytelling will show up.
