I think it's the lying/deception that people get pissed off about. Some people dont like being lied to, even for free stuff. I have no clue about render times or how long it takes to animate his movies, but i've seen people saying it doesnt take months to render his movies and accusing him of delaying completed works deliberately.

And remember this is porn that taps into the male sex drive. We all know how crazy powerful testosterone is, being denied your favorite porn is like being denied your favorite video game as a kid lol.

It doesnt bother me much, firstly since i'm not one to complain about free stuff, and secondly i'm not really into the BTQ series that much. It's more curiosity than titillating lol, seeing what outrageous scene he's gonna come up with next.

Why should he lie about anything, he has no pressure, he's makin' one movie a year. Could he make a movie faster, yeah sure. But he is a human being, he wants for sure some leisure time, or hang out with friends, vacation etc.

I would like to see those renders, and the length of those animations. Really interested to see those animations, since you think the quality is pretty much the same, so you can calculate how fast he could render these videos.

-moving objects ( and the number of those objects )
-different camera angles
-fluid simulation

Yes a moving object is more complex and yes the number of objects matters but you make a static object first then give it animations so it doesn't differ that much and another thing is that an object tend to take more time for rendering due to light effect more than textures and in animo's work textures are same also we don't have a direct light source like sunshine just an overall light in the room which removes pretty much any settings related to light such as GI and SSAO so in other words camera angle doesn't make much sense either cause the light is pretty much same except for soft shadows in darker areas but i am in same boat with you about the liquid quality as it's really good and about my renderings:

I do agree that their work looks good i just don't like people milking money and making people think it's not something that could be done way sooner that gives people a bad name in an industry that is dear to me and that is an injustice i will not stand for

I didnt elaborate ( if thats the correct word? ), because i thought its not needed.

All i tried to say is, theres a really big difference between rendering an "x" min long video of a fire and rendering an animation like these with the same duration, even if the quality is the same, simply because its more complex ( just think about it....how time consuming fluid simulation itself is, even if the quality is shit ). We can only estimate how much it actually takes ( even tho youre familiar with the basics ) simply because we dont know much about animo and his setup. What kind of rig is he using, wich programs, etc.? So we can just roughly estimate, how long it actually takes. I mean maybe he does release his stuff like a day or 2 after finishing it, but are you seriously think that the rendering is done after 20days then he sits on it for a month or two?

This gig is pretty much a money printer at this point, doesnt matter if were after or before a release, so what would be the point?

No one cares how fast some couch-expert thinks things can render. No one even knows how fast Animo's rendering set up even is, for all anyone here knows he has it set up in some backward ass way and each frame takes 30 minutes to render because of shitty post-processing settings.

Because Animo isn't going to change how they make this porn due to some asshat's opinion in a thread dedicated to leaking his work, that he also gives out for free.
