I know Dev comes from RPGM, but wouldn't be better if Dev quits all the unnecessary clicks format? Click to open the closet, click open that door. He could save that effort and use that time on renders and story progress and I doubt he would miss a fan. I loved the Ren'py Remake of Chp. 1 for that and I doubt I was the only one. Just an opinion.

In the game file "Saves" I find the two saved versions 5-4-LT1.save , only when I go into the game and browse the save slots, the two files are not present. Where (path) exactly does the game actually save the save files? Because when I start with my old files I also have errors and do not get further.

(ps - make a different save for that to avoid further errors)

You can use included save files without bugs.

This. You need to copy the included save files from your game folder into your Renpy folder (app data>roaming). If your journal is blank after visiting Jeremy this is the only way to progress.
