The VN version has already been beta tested, because most of it's content is in the sandbox version, and most errors have already been corrected by the time the VN version is released. If the VN version was released first, it would almost certainly have errors, and need to be tested.
And as for the patreon numbers leveling out since early 2021 is concerned. I think that has more to do with the current economic climate, than any issues with the game. In fact I'm more surprised the number of patrons hasn't gone down, which might be expected with most people facing much higher costs with heating, fuel and food over the last few years.
It's not always about the game, sometimes real life is a factor
The reason that they've had difficulties, is that Renpy has allowed the Devs to do stuff with the game, that just wasn't possible with the more limited RPGM format. And they've had to learn how to make these things work, and sometimes they've made mistakes. Also one of the Devs had never previously done much in the way of coding. He was brought in, mainly to do the writing. But in an effort to speed things up, they agreed he would help out with other things too, allowing Deep to concentrate entirely on the rendering, which is the most time consuming part of the production process. Unfortunately not being used to it, he initially made errors to the phone function, which neither of them picked up till later. Which means that old saves often don't work when new updates are released ( and for a minority the updates don't work at all). And this is why we've had all these issues with the sandbox version. Because going back and correcting old errors, that have become deeply engrained in the game, is a nightmare. Unfortunately, any solution invariably leads to more issues elsewhere in the game.Surely you are allowed to talk about the history of the game, and in this forum that is allowed also for people who are not paying for the development of the games
I have in the past supported DeepSleep and also the developer of the unofficial renpy version of S1 according to my possibilities for about 6 months although occasionally .. i had started to support S2 as well but as soon as i realized that the story was taking a different path i stopped ...
in fact the RPGM version had flaws but was better than this one in the sandbox style... often developers who ar used to wrk in RPGM engine workflow they struggle to create the same mood in renpy engine.
In any case this story doesn't make sense to develop it with a sandbox system because sandbox games are supposed to allow you to follow scenes causally...
instead with AEAthe story is extremely linear and you have to look at the scenes strictly chronologically...
That's why this game has a story that doesn't make sense to develop it in a sandbox way
it's not stupid at all to ask that a porn story has to have a good coherent story like what happens in TV series...because that's the big success of this kind of games...
I was sick of watching porn with no plot where the story starts with a woman getting fucked by one or more men and then the story ends with them cumming together.... All porn movies are like that! (except for the Japaanese Adult Video that comes with great plots and stunning actress like AIKA, Minam Natsiki, Yuma Asami--amd many more hreat actress
I have been following Anna's story since the first season and for me the whole period of Andrew's hospitalization was boring and unnecessary (too long)...because Anne in all of her stories...
even the short ones is a well-defined character;
she is a girl who has just graduated from college and is engaged to Andrew...
her character is quite funny and it works precisely because she betrays everyone while the boyfriend doesn't notice anything...that's the basic story...
in my opinion if Anne were not engaged to Andrew the story would degrade to a selfish woman who feels nothing for anyone
The fact that she needs money to endure the boyfriend that makes this story really interesting....
She is willing to find out everyone to save Andrew-I follow exactly this path.
She is an always aroused girl who cannot resist her sexual instincts and indulges in the pleasure of sex!
from season 1 I follow her maximizing her corruption point and letting Jeremy live because Anna does not have to be a killer! (but this is just my path)..and i want her to be fathfull with her sister andher husband... she will be a great Russian-mafia female boss!
I agree with you adding more characters is a way to make the story evasive and fuzzy ... but I play the VN version ... do you know why?
by pressing CTRL I can quickly skip all the unnecessary characters

There is nothing wrong with sandbox versions per se. It's just in this instance, early mistakes were made, and now the Devs are struggling to correct them. I'm positive the Devs are trying their very best to find solutions to these issues that work for all. But without restarting Chapter 2 again from scratch, it's not easy.
The reason we have a sandbox version at all. Is because a lot of patrons were quite happy with the RPGM version, and liked having a map in the game, and being able to move around it. For me the big drawback of RPGM is the very limited ability to save and not being able to scroll back. But I do like having the map, and for me that's a big plus. The sandbox version that we have (when it works) is the best of both worlds. And hopefully, in the future the Devs will find a way to correct the problems we've had so far.
Now you don't like this version, and that's ok, because that's why we have the VN version, for those people who just want to the story and nothing more. But you need to understand that you're in the minority, and the Devs will always put the majority of patrons first. It doesn't matter whether you or other people think the VN version is better. Because for better or worse, the sandbox version is what most patrons want. And that means it will always come first.

We ever going to get the fixed version for Android on here
They generally are. If it really was infected with a trojan, there would be a lot more people than just you bringing it up here. This happens to me quite often with Avast, and 99% of the time, a targeted scan of just the game folder, produces an entirely different result.
If your AV allows you to make targetted scans, it's a good way to double check alerts of this kind.
When games are uploaded to sites like Mega and Pixeldrain, they do check them for viruses, so it's only gonna be the odd one where they fail to detect them. Also it's not in the Dev's interest, to knowingly upload games infested with viruses or malware, because their patrons would soon abandon them if that was the case. I'm sure the Devs of all the really popular games ( of which this is one), try very hard to make sure that doesn't happen.

So been playing the "fixed" version after subbing to deep. It is still broken. The Dr Cary event does work however only on the Dr shneider route. Whereas dr shneider still shows up in the same spot for the Dr Cary route. So fixed the event, but switched it up. Which even if you just move past it, it will end up breaking saves in the future if not properly fixed. Ive also notified deep on discord so we will see.

Well, for me the “Dr. Schmidt/Dr. Eilhart bug” behaves as follows.
Dr. Schmidt plays a 0.0 role in my game. At the beginning of Chapter 2 he is "sawed off" and does not appear again in the further course. Until Anna picks Andrew up from the hospital, Dr. Schmidt up. With the update Episode 14 beta and Episode 14 Fix, Dr. Eilhart.
Bug fixed? Unfortunately no.
Now in episode 14, when Anna goes to the hospital with Andrew for an MRI, DR. SCHMIDT AGAIN appears!!!!
For me the bug is still there, even if it has just been moved!!!
