That's partly bullcrap. You can get a computer cheaper than many tablets. Also, you can get a used PC.
Even a PC from 2010 would run Renpy games fine, as Renpy is based on Python 2.7 which is almost that old.

Not bad. The sex scenes are actual scenes and not just a few lines.
The one thing I would change would be the replay setup. Having to scroll all the way down over and over gets rather annoying.

Yeah, 1.26 was the January update. This one is 1.27.
