If they meet their next Patreon goal they will create a patch that restores the incest to this game.
Also, try the game out. It's written so well that the lack of specific pronouns doesn't take away from the experience.

The only update I haven't played is the latest one... also how can you know they will do a patch... you can't exactly advertise that on patreon lol. nor can you really publish it there either....
Also even if true, the tag should still be removed, as tags are for what is in the game, not what might one day be in the game. for that it goes under genre and under planned, although in this case if what you say is true it isn't planned, it is possible if they get more money....

They have roundaboutly stated as much. I mean, it can't really get much more obvious that the description on their 2000$ goal: "We'll patch back in that content. Shhh, no telling." Another post has some more subtle hints(subtle in the *nudge* nudge* *wink* *wink* sense).
The devs also read all comments and listen to their audience. They know that people want the incest to make a comeback. The game started with incest in it(which had to be removed due to obvious reasons), so it's safe to assume that that is also the story they want to tell.
They are trying to both meet their audience's expectations and their own vision of the game by any means possible, so throw them a bone.
P.S.: Oh, and even though there is no stated connection between the MC, Jo and Flora, their relationship is obvious. No real harm is done to the game by removing the words "mother" and "sister" from the game. Hell, it might even gain from that, since now the writers have to convey the same information by using solely subtext and characters interacting with each other.

.... if it doesn't currently have it, then it doesn't currently have it lol. most people ain't gonna check all that to know it may be coming. most will look at tag download play and then get annoyed it isn't there, and the MC called them by their name. (which for some breaks immersion, cause who calls their mom by their name...).
Removing the tag both removes issue for the dev and the players. when it has it then just add it back. Cause there is no clear disclaimer on the post that says "Will be added later.".

No it def has it. You're just not good at reading between the line. Yeah MC never specifically says "oh that character is my mom btw" but you can tell by how he interacts with her and his sister. No need for "landlady" stuff.
I'd even go as far as saying his relation with his sister is one of the most accurate I've seen in a game so far. The banter is really accurate. Just because you can't get the clues, doesn't mean others can't. Their relation is pretty evident.

The MC finding Tide pods in his lunchbox and going "Fucking Flora..." is what really sells their relationship for me.

.... You don't call your mom by their name... it works for the sister because you do call your sister by their name or a nickname. not your mom...
As soon as MC calls mom by their name it breaks the immersion cause of that fact. Read between the lines has its place. this is not one of them. that is just justifying to keep a tag that is no longer valid.
Just because you perceive it to be so doesn't make it so in reality. it is your view, not the current fact. And tags are made on the current fact, not what a player sees. Because that kind of thing can also be chalked up to close friends. or foster kids.
For all we know they could just be in a foster house. because that can also be read as between the lines, in fact it is the more accurate read because he calls them by their names and nothing else.
Like a comment that I quoted earlier, you either choose incest or patreon (with patch) you can't do both. they as of this update have gone with patreon, and until it changes it shouldn't have the tag plain and simple, doesn't matter how a relationship can be perceived, what matters is it isn't defined, you call them by their names, and as far as the game currently treats it, you are just friends, close friends but friends nonetheless.
edit: this topic is now redundant since the tag has been removed. If at any point it comes back, it will obviously be added back.
also fyi, this is good for the dev as well, because now they won't get bombarded with people asking, or complaining. cause trust me, it happens, people get the shits when the incest tag is there for non-mc incest. (like two sisters or something)
