Honestly, the game has a fair grind when you do a full playthrough, even if you miss some stat checks, because there is a lot of choices where the 'bad' choice actually opens a distinct narrative path, so you can pass it as immersive. But the biggest problem comes from doing the Chapter Select when you try to check out different routes, because Chapter Select spawns you with only minimal requirements for the titular questline.
