I liked the tone of the conversation at the bar, but it feels like Erick is idealizing a perfect open relationship with the "together or not at all" discourse, while Steph is putting her focus on her fucking with other guys in front of him. Is this what the game is going to be about? Steph surrendering to her passions while Erick enjoys it from the side? And even if Erick also gets some 1 on 1 action with other girls, will it feel like they just gave each other a free pass rather than using it to tease each other?

Unfortunately this is the way game goes, MC barely gets any pussy while Steph fucks everything that moves regardless of your confidence path, so if you were looking for proper swinging game where both protagonists are equal, you'll be disappointed, it's leaning towards cuckold direction instead, despite the premise. Probably the main reason why the game is abandoned now.

But why put an option there, with a potential positive outcome if you're confident enough, and then reset confidence so that you'll never get that outcome?

I agree it frustrated me. The game was continually changed and ended up abandoned. Maybe that mechanic would have been re-done later who knows.

Haven't played but 20% of the game yet, but I like it. One thing I don't like, is the dynamic of "going too far will have bad consequences", if this isn't clearly mentioned at the moment of choice. I'd hate it if they had a swinging scene that were pretty satisfying for both at the end of the night, that they were happy with as they talked the following day, but ended up being a path to a bad ending because Jack should have pulled the brakes instead, despite them feeling good about it all the way through. It's suggested that such a dynamic is what the game is going for, just hope the line between bold and stupid is obvious and that the stupid option has immediate sour consequences, so that you can savescum with minimal backtracking.

Be forewarned: in My Husband's Boss while viewing as the husband, you will be cucked and shamed mercilessly no matter what choices you try to make. There is no way to obtain a "good" ending in that story unless you enjoy being a shameless spineless cuck. The renders are well made so it is visually pleasing, but... As one reviewed posted: all the characters in the story are miserable; there simply is no one to "root" for. Those with a preference for being humiliated likely would enjoy that story, though.

I'm trying "A Life Worth Living" now.

What I should've said was that you can watch the developer's movie if you choose and if you like that sort of outcome, so much the better for you. If you're a gamer who wants to make choices and see how those influence outcomes... ...you'll be disappointed by the story. Thanks for the correction.

Well, I understand what you mean, but to me that isn't logical at all, and it takes away from the corruption games. What makes a corruption game interesting is that the MC makes compromises to obtain what they want. But, there isn't any compromise if there is no choice - and so you don't become corrupted. So, there has to be a choice and that choice should lead down the story. It doesn't have to mean a ton of grinding either; a skilled writer could probably find some ways to describe how the MC had to work really hard/take extra classes/etc. This is all part of character arc, which helps flesh out the story and determine what sort of character you want the MC to be.

As if Steph bothered if MC was present...

I agree there should be some way for Steph to be punished for her betrayal(s) of the MC whether by divorce, neglect/rejection, or simply the results from bad karma... ...but, sadly, developers for this genre tend not to give us that. I don't understand it, really. I only can assume there must be some kink out there that enjoys being betrayed(?) and the developers are playing to that... I went from enjoying this game to not enjoying it at all.

The game is very good thematically. It's a shame that games with sharing themes or even NTR (non-traditional relationships), with husbands wanting to cuckold, swinging, or have hot wives, are mostly not completed and get lost along the way.

Meanwhile, BAD games spend years dragging on, holding users' attention.

It's the same in stories these authors write that stretch out many chapters, they tend to leave the ending open or very vague. In these games there usually no problem taking it to a point but struggle with ideals on how to end thing or what direction the story needs to goes to get over the hump(pun intended). So the get abandoned.
