I think you're the one who's crazy. You don't understand the ntr tag at all.

"But the MC doesn't have feelings for her so it doesn't count"
"But the MC wasn't there to see it so it doesn't count"
I know just by seeing your thoughts. Take for example a doujin called chitose.
Not a boyfriend, not a husband, not a close friend.
If the context is correct, it still counts.
'NTR', or 'Netorare', directly translates to 'cheating' in Japanese.

You can't 'cheat' on somebody, when the character partaking in another relationship doesn't have a romantic relation ship whatsoever with the MC?

It can be argued that in this case it's 'Netori', or 'Reverse NTR' - as the MC will 'steal' this girl from her previous relationship. However, the relationship will be terminated after the point that the MC will be able to romance this character.

I understand that people have issues with this concept in general, and I want it to be abundantly clear that I will accommodate for that as much as possible (skippable lesbian scenes, the option to not romance certain characters).

At the end of the day, this is a planned tag. It isn't even in the game yet. When I do eventually end up including this, I will make sure to do it in good taste.

Yes, it's in 'Settings' :)

Went through a million names during development -I think picking a name everyone is happy with is pretty challenging
It absolutely is. And don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on the name, it isn't bad, just everyone has different tastes. As you said, picking a name that everyone would like is challenging, I'd say impossible, which is why it's great that name change features exist.

I want to tell you exactly what the tag means.
In many stories, even if the MC doesn't have a romantic relationship with her, it's still in the tag(If the context is correct). The Japanese netorare (寝取られ) translates to “to be taken off.” These translations demonstrate the NTR genre’s on the feelings of the cheat. In this case, it might be called Netori like you said, but that tag can be used together. So many people like to use the words ntr+or ntr- to make it easier for others to understand. (gain or lose)

Yea the fact that everyone has their own definitions of NTR makes it difficult to say it really isn't included.

A character is bisexual, and has a previous partner before hooking up with the MC. People talking about lesbianism are obviously going to be included - however any direct lesbian content will be strictly optional.

Do I think this is NTR? No, because this is before the MC is romantically involved with the character. As in real life, people have ex-partners.

Do some people think this is NTR? Yes - and that's the issue. I get it if they're not interested in a character that will have had prior relationships before interacting with the MC - and I'll try my best to accommodate for that as much as possible (skippable lesbian scenes, the option to not romance this character)
Ex partner isn't really a problem
in any game with incest
the mom had to get knocked up for the MC to exist
but players do expect the father to be gone in one way or another.

If an ex partner is the issue here and the ex is gone then that's fine as long as it doesn't become a focal point with dialogue meant to illicit negative feelings.

Lesbian scenes as in bi girls from MC's harem having a moment together without the MC present
it's not something I'd consider as a negative
I expect the females in my harem to be with each other as much as they are with me.

But not everyone has the same harem preferences some want to be the center of attention the only one getting action

Those quotes are not my thoughts
They are the common excuses for NTR-esque games that don't have the tag because of technicality.

I'm not an athlete but isn't the state of Natsuki's diet very unproductive? I get maintaining her physique at peak form but a brief google search implies that an actual athlete takes in a more regular diet rich in carbs, protein and plenty of fluids to fuel their body as part of their "pre-comp diet".

I don't want to nitpick so much as this makes me feel that her dietician is a quack or made up and she's developing a case of anorexia. Or already is anorexic.

Of course I only bring this up because she's so open about how little she eats, how weak she is and she DID mention she is following a diet planned by a professional. Typically people suffering from this disorder are usually very secretive about it...

Don't worry, it'll make sense later down the line ;)

Hmm...what does the "affectiondetermine" points do to the story, and are they some kind of love or negative relationship point (bad to collect)?

I also while using the 0x52_URM tool (I use the tool to review details behind story choices), each girl's name has been assigned to the affection points, so I know affectiondetermin definitely isn't a name of a girl.

Image below, choice 1 = +1 AD points, and choice 2 = +2 AD points.

Oh damn - didn't know there was a tool for this

It's only a temporary variable that will change the flow of conversation dependent on choices made - and doesn't extend beyond that singular event. It does effect affection points given out at the end of the event - but the difference isn't really important.

Essentially:
If you choose Ami - affectiondetermine=1
If you choose Kasu - affectiondetermine=2

-Brief dialog changes dependent on choice-

Affection -
if 1, +1 for Ami.
if 2, +1 for Kasu

The fact that the definition of NTR isn't exactly set in stone, and seems to vary from person to person is what's probably caused these issues. I tried to find an exact definition but every single website seems to have an entirely different opinion.
There are two definitions dependent on if someone likes NTR or hates it.

Likes NTR: This is cheating, stealing, or sharing. Subsets are if the MC is doing the stealing then it's Netori, if the MC is being cheated on it's Netorare, and if the MC lets their girls be shared it's Netorase.
https://f95zone.to/threads/in-depth-guide-and-difference-between-netorare-netori-and-netorase.83477/

Hates NTR: Another man is in the picture. Context doesn't matter so mommy screwing daddy counts because of course it does even if the MC can't sleep with her or this was done way before the MC even had a chance with her :ROFLMAO: Other men ogling over a cam girl can fall under this broad stroke definition. Humiliation of the MC is frowned upon and talking about other men during sex is taboo. Voyeurism, or watching others have sex, isn't something they want to see. Some would go as far as to include bisexual or lesbian women as rivals for the love interest.

Can you please both camps? Nope though a compromise to make quirky fetishes optional and get the question out of the way early so the player doesn't have to be asked this multiple times. Even then some idiots will complain that choices with consequences makes their heads hurt.

Netori is the only good NTR, and as such it isn't usually liked by NTR followers, who generally only want netorare.

Depends on personal taste as some just don't like cheating in general whether it's taking or being taken from. If the damsel doesn't need saving, or isn't as high up on the waifu list as other girls, then netori isn't required nor desired. Those that tend to debate the nuance lean more on liking NTR as it pollutes the real NTR category while those who hate NTR would go with it makes perfect sense as none of the variants interest them. A lot of these senseless debates could be avoided the the NTR tag was split into three separate categories.

Currently there is no NTR tag, there is a netorare tag and it refers only to that type of NTR.

On the other hand, IMHO, stealing other guys' girlfriends is never a bad thing, as long as is the MC who does it. If they do it to the MC or someone other than the MC does it to someone other than the MC, it's always bad.

There are characters who are lesbians, and the themes will be unavoidable. Direct lesbian scenes will be present in the future, but skippable :)
