Dude, it's a gooning game. You load it up and fuck/get fucked. It's not very complicated. It's very good at that.

As others have already said whenever H-Games (especially VR ones) try to implement some kind of progression or story it falls completely flat because the gameplay ends up being terrible and the actual sex part of the game is dogshit, that has been universally true for all VR H-Games. It would be awesome if more personality and story elements were put into Heat, I absolutely agree but getting the sex to be satisfying should always be the main priority.

I can think of two games (non-VR) that do it somewhat well and that's Carnal Instinct and Breeders of Nephelym however even those have mid gameplay and mid sex, this game has objectively better H despite lacking traditional gameplay elements and most people prefer good H over subpar gameplay implementation.

A good porn game has excellent erotics that are easy to reach, quick to get because the horny just want to blow off the load. SHF, koikatsu gallery mode and most flashgame porn games fit this thoughtlines and they were popular because they did this.

A good game on the other side is about fun mechanics and immersion mainly as progression and story isnt actually needed.
Mass effect series, Witcher series, GTA series, Vampire survivors all fit this and got to where they are because they do it well.

If you make a great platformer then you have just that. No amount of erotifying the enemies will make it a good porn game because you still need to progress around and will lose your heat by the time you reach the next fuckable enemy around.
If you make a gallery that just gives players the good bits then it was completely useless to make the previous part as now you have all the players actually aimed at outside of the game.
Same goes for survival, shooter, sports and the vast majority of these genres.
If GTA would have an excellent prostitution scene where you become a pimp and sample your bitches it still wouldnt be a good porn game, it would be a silly afterthought of some modder.

I think the only genre that can has a slight chance at making a good porn game the one this guy yearns for is literally the Balatro likes because you could make the same system it uses and replace the bosses and the counter with characters getting seriously fucked up and even then i kinda doubt it would work out well.

Games that try to be both end up in horrible medicority because the balance isnt at all easy to make as every time they steer towards "real" gameplay they lose what people actually want: good porn.
