Anyone else sick of all the slow paced adult games?

I like slow paced games, tension and expectation make playing more enjoyable for me
As others on this thread have said if I just want quick visual arousal I'd look at porn
I guess the question is are you playing games as a means to fap or for the general escapism with the arousal thrown in as a bonus

There are games that seem to stall in development for ages and may (or may not) be designed to milk those that pay via any subscription method.
However games which just offer up any sex with any antagonist from close to the word go really don't have much to to recommend them ahead of Pornhub (place favourite pornsite here).

It also depends on the game's main fetish. If it's corruption with or without trainer mechanics, jumping quickly to the sex wouldn't be plausible.
Hmm. It feel more like it's the opposite, unless it's a relative or someone married. But the best way to corrupt a girl, is by having sex with her, and preferably good sex. Orgasm is the reward she'll seek for.
"Oh, please whatever if someone see them, show me your boobs right now, and tonight I'll do this thing that left you dead like".
"Oh, please. If you put this plug in your ass, I promise to take a day off tomorrow and we will fuck all day long".
"Oh, don't be like that. I know how much you like having this plug in your ass. I know it as well as you know that you'll have the orgasm of your life if you let me fuck your ass."
And so on. Make her have the day of her life in bed, and she'll do whatever you want.

Sorry girls, please, not the head, it's my least bad asset. Anyway, we all know that men are worse, it don't even need to be the best orgasm of our life.

I think a slow pace is fine if the dev is building the right mood and characters. I think a lot of devs use voyeuristic or rapey behaviour (watching the woman in the shower or with her boyfriend etc or inapproriately touching her when they sleep) to rush things and it is done at the consequence of making you support the main protagonist and I personally have grown to detest.
I think a lot of slow pace games are designed with the wrong intention in mind. They're built to tease and milk rather than develop the characters and intimacy.

I love when a game teases (basically I'm talking about the build up phase) MC but lose any interest when devs drag it out for too long and it turns into blueballing. So many games are years in development and MC's are still dry humping every girl they see like a dog in heat.

Ugh, don't remind me. I'm still waiting for the mage girl's sex scenes in A House in the Rift. Instead the dev decided to proceed with the elf one. Fucking elves, I can't get rid of them, not even in porn.

To me, the big appeal is the "conquest" and the journey. If the game just hands out sex scenes like candy on Halloween then it's just ordinary porn, and no offense to creators, but most games in terms of visuals can't compete to proper videos or still drawings. I do think that games should have couple of easy options however(E.G: prostitutes, major sluts) since sometimes you just want to get that sex scene fix, but the more desirable and story rich characters should definitely be harder to pursue.

One of the games I'm supporting currently barely has any sex in it. But that's almost besides the point, because its approach to my fetishes is something I want to see fully realized. Plus the gameplay is quite good. So slow progression is not a dealbreaker at all, unlike slow development.

I agree all games should have a lot of sex scenes in first release what is all this story and stuf fyou have to read is this a churc lecture or a porn game why cant we have a porn game that has sex as soon as you open it that would be really cool but all devs milk it with story and all that boring stuff i end up skipping all and then blue ball we need more milfy city

Nope, every game is it's own thing. Some are pure wanking material (which is fine), but some wants to tell a proper story others have real gameplay. They all have a place in the genre as a whole. If a game doesn't suit you, move on. There are lots of Nukige VN's out there for you to enjoy.

One thing I wish they add to games is estimated time before first sex scene, "Slow Burner" should also be a "TAG" as I can't spend 3hrs waiting to reach the "massage stage"... at least have side chicks to keep us entertained. And all those who say "gO wAtCh PoRn tHaN!" must remember this IS Porn I can equally argue to go read "50 Shades" if you want a story.
The other pet peeve I have is delaying things just to keep "Patreons" happy when clearly the story has no where to go but you keep dragging it along because of those "Dollar, Dollar bills, yo!!"

Rant over.

For me the base line is the build up. It can be shorter or longer, have a compelling story or just some lighthearted context, a straight line or multiple paths, adorn it with whatever flavors you like, and so on. But no matter what, if there's no buildup whatsoever I'll drop it without second thought. And anything that detriments that base line makes the experience exponentialy worse: early cheap sex scenes with secondary characters that adds nothing to the build up, peeping or dream sequences to see the characters nude or having sex (throwing the excitement for that first moment to happen out the window), straight up chicks jumping at MC's cock as soon as they lay eyes on him, etc.

So naturally, I like slow paced games. Although there are some games that take it too far even for me (or simply stretch it out without really building up anything at all), and also there's some quick-ish paced games where there's enough buildup to work out.

Many people are unreasonably hung up on the sex. They try to divide the game into story rich games and porny fap games and place weird expectations on them because of their preconceptions. They think story rich games that tries to be realistic shouldn't have easy sex because "girls don't put out so easily, right?" No. Girls want sex as much as dudes. If you meet a woman at a bar/club and bring her home, you will bang. It's unrealistic for you to not bang her. No one stops at foreplay just because. If you start fooling around with someone, it's more logical that it ends in sex than just doing some kissing (unless you are in middle school or something). This holds true for even incest scenarios. If you are far enough along to kiss and fool around, why would they stop before sex? It's artificial most of the time. That's fine too, since it's a porn game and there are meta reasons to slowly escalate the sexual acts. I take issue when people justify it because it's more realistic for people to not jump straight to sex or something.

I don't mind the slow pace, as long as the path is enjoyable and there's a good finale at the end of it. Not that I don't enjoy a simply-porn type of game from time to time, but I also enjoy the games where the sex is just a properly inserted extra to the story.

Yes. Screw diversity.
All games should be made in one style. Balance. Not too much porn nor too much story.
People that enjoy games that mostly focus on either the stories or porn - you're wrong for not having the same preferences as me.

On a side note;
Sex is a sin and should be banned from the site.

I think the problem is mostly that most of the games on here aren't completed. I can enjoy a good slow burn game, as long as they're completed because I know there's payoff at some point as I'm playing the game. Problem is there are probably like 3 games actually like that on here. Playing a slow burn game before it's done and then having no payoff until a year later? Yeah, no.

How about two threads in parallel but out of sync? Say the MC is working on his relationship with his new girlfriend, but also dealing with his ex-wife. One relationship is new and is building up, the other is established. The girlfriend is a slower burn requiring some patience to "get to the good stuff", but the other might have a booty-call quality. Of course, part of the story is trying to balance the two, and maybe keeping both partners in the dark about the other. Now the author can indulge in slow character building and establishing a relationship through patience and perseverance, but also has an outlet for some quick-fire satisfaction -- but this construction also injects some risk for the main character that helps with the "game" aspect.

Coming up with ways to make a sexy game without turning all the characters into slutty nymphomaniacs requires imagination, that's for certain.
